{Amara’s POV}
Zorin carried me into his room, closing the door behind us. He walked to a large chair in front of a fireplace and sat me down in it. He walked into another room and came back out with a rag, it was warm and wet as he wiped off my face and my hands. “Alright, I’m going to get you some clothes that aren’t covered in blood, don’t move!” He said, walking into a closet and coming back out with a button up dark blue shirt, it was long sleeve, and with how big he was I think it would fit me like a dress. He was about 7 feet tall, taller than anyone I’d ever met before. “I’ll turn around, hurry and put this on before my brother gets here.” He sighed, handing me the shirt and turning towards the door.
I looked down at my clothes, peeling them off, I was left only in my pink lace underwear, as I pulled the shirt down over my head. I made sure all of the buttons were done up before kneeling down and grabbing my clothes. When I went to stand back up I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me, I stumbled, gripping into the side of the chair. I felt his arms wrap around me before I could react as Zorin lifted me up against him again. “Are you alright?” He asked, looking over me.
“I-I’m sorry.. I’m just a bit dizzy..” I replied, as he walked me across the room, lying me down gently in a massive bed. He pulled the blankets up over me, and sighed once again.
“Try to get some rest before my brother gets here..” He said, before turning on his heel and walking back to where I’d dropped my clothes, he lifted them before tossing them into the fire that was burning in the fireplace.
I nodded, leaning back against the pillows. “O-Okay, thank you.. Zorin..” I whispered, before closing my eyes, I was in a strange place, with a strange looking man.. but so far I was safe, and I was exhausted. So as much as everything in me told me to be afraid, to stay awake, to make sure I was safe, I closed my eyes, and sank back, falling into a deep and dreamless sleep.
When I woke up, it was to the sound of voices outside the bedroom door. “Why are you being so secretive? This isn’t like you Zorin!” A deep, soft voice sounded from the hall.
“Just come inside, I need you to see for yourself before you make any decisions!” Zorin voice whispered softly.
I moved softly, whimpering as pain shot through me. As I looked back to the door I could see Zeldryx flying in, with another small man following behind him. This one was about the same size as Zeldryx, but his hair was long and green, his skin was a pale green color, and his eyes were like emeralds. Zeldryx flew to my side before dropping onto my chest, he nuzzled against me. “You’re finally awake!” His voice chimed. “We were beginning to worry!”
I looked down at him, worry etched across his little face. I pet his hair again causing him to purr against me. “I’m okay.. I think, just tired.”
“A human soul? Here, in our castle? Do you have any idea what the others will say.. what they’ll do to her?” The little green one groaned.
I reached over, running my finger along his hair as well, his eyes went wide as he stared at me, a purr also sounding from him, as I heard a slam against the door. When I looked up I could see Zorin standing there watching me wide eyed, as Zeldryx snuggled up to my chest. There was a man beside him, also staring me down. His skin was pale, greenish white, and his hair was dark green, pulled back in a low ponytail that went about halfway down his back. His eyes glaring at me, caused my face to burn, emerald green orbs that seemed to stare into my soul sat behind a pair of golden round framed glasses. He was just as tall as Zorin, but leaner, his frame was nearly swallowed by the size of Zorin’s.
“H-Hello..” I whimpered, staring back at them. The little green man in front of me disappeared, popping up beside the man with dark green hair.
“Evander.. she smells different..” he said, causing the man to straighten up, and close the door behind him.
“You brought a human soul here? Are you absolutely insane?” The man in glasses shrieked at Zorin.
“Could you be any louder Evander?” Zorin groaned back. “I brought her here because she’s too weak to cross over, I need your help checking her out.. there’s something else though, and I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t crazy.”
“You’re most certainly crazy!” Evander shot back at him before they both walked over to me. My tiny frame swallowed by the massive bed. Evander sat down beside me, his hand gripping my chin and forcing me to look up at him. “What could possibly..” he began, but as soon as our skin made contact he pulled away, standing from his place. “Y-You’re kidding.. what happened to cause her soul to become so frail?” He asked, looking over to Zorin.
“She was murdered.. and when she found herself there.. she reached back into her body and wrote out the name of her killer..” Zorin answered, I gripped the blankets tight, my body beginning to tremble as memories of my corpse began to fill my mind. I could see myself lying there, the wax in my hair. I reached up, my fingers brushing through the curls. I could feel the wax, it was still there, tangling my hair into knots.
I stood quickly, too quickly, my head spun, but I didn’t care. I moved faster than I thought I could as I reached the bathroom that Zorin had gone in earlier. I flipped on the light looking at myself in the mirror. I was a mess, blood staining my throat, wax and blood coating my hair. My eyes were surrounded by dark circles, I didn’t look like me anymore. I choked back a sob, the sound catching painfully in my throat. “No..” I backed up, my spine hitting a wall, causing pain to tear through me. “Look what he did to me..” I whimpered, tears beginning to slip from my eyes. I stepped back closer to the mirror, my eyes scanning over the reflection that I knew was mine but I couldn’t quite recognize. “I’ll kill him! I’m gonna fu***** kill him!” I cried, slamming my fists down on the sink. My anger swirled within me like a living thing, thrashing against the walls of my skin. I looked up into the mirror, seeing my eyes glowing green, before the lightheadedness took over once again, all of the energy draining from my body, as I dropped, slamming against the ground. My eyes closed, as the sound of four voices closing in around me melted into silence.
