{Amara’s POV}
I made my way down the hallway, the sound of Zorin, Evander, and the orange man talking in the distance slowly beginning to fade.
Then the fear set in, the panic.. I felt empty.. alone, afraid.. truly terrified. A loud crash of lighting had me squealing, as I ran into the first room I saw. As I turned I was horrified to see Vaius sitting at a desk across the room. He sighed, looking over me. “What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you to go away?” He asked, a snarky tone pouring through his words.
“I’m looking for more of me jacka**!” I sneered, a bit of my courage pushing forward. He’s become a thorn in my side far too quickly, I turned to open the door, when another loud crash of thunder boomed throughout the room. I jumped, a soft whimper escaping my lips, as lighting lit up the space. I gripped the door handle, but was unable to move, all except the trembling of my body.
He chuckled, he was laughing at me. “What? Are you afraid of a little thunder?” He asked, I heard his footsteps growing closer, and the flash of lighting showed his shadow against the door, he was right behind me. I felt his breath on the back of my neck, hot, and heavy. “Your fear.. it’s intoxicating.” He said, his voice sliding into something more primal. He sniffed my neck, his lips grazing against it, as he gripped a fistful of my hair and tilted my head back so I was looking up at him.
My grip on the door handle tightened as the thunder crashed again. The rumbling echoing in the distance. “V-Vaius..” I whimpered, as I felt his tongue slide across my neck.. it was longer than a normal tongue, pointed on the end. I was already shaking.. but now, now my legs were beginning to feel weak for another reason entirely. I needed to stop him.. why was I enjoying this so much. My body kept betraying my mind when it comes to them. I felt sharp teeth graze against the sensitive skin on my neck, as his tongue traced small shapes across it.
“Your fear.. it’s sweet.. like nothing I’ve ever tasted before..” he groaned, his body pressing against my back. “Delicious!” He growled.
He bit down gently, his teeth slightly piercing the flesh, causing a feeling I wasn’t expecting. This situation had become sensual.. much too fast for my taste. “Fu**! Vaius!” I groaned, sucking in a deep breath as I felt him take a gulp of my blood. I pushed myself closer to the door, pulling away from him and turning to face him. “V-Vaius.. stop!” I whimpered, my hand reaching up and grabbing my neck. My face was red, and hot, my eyes wide as I looked up at him. “I-I..” I muttered, unable to speak a coherent sentence.
He looked down at me, his eyes half closed, a smirk across his face, and my blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. He looked as though he was in a daze, and as he began to snap out of it, he glared daggers at me. “What did you do to me?” He asked, backing away from me as though I’d burned him.
I looked up at him, confusion taking over me. “I-I could ask you the same question! You need to stop, one second you hate me, the next you’re doing sh** like this!” I snapped, turning back and opening the door. “You’re giving me whiplash! Don’t touch me again!” I sneered, leaving the room.
As I walked back into the hallway, I could see the orange man from before smirking at me. “What?” I asked, my face was burning, and now I could feel it even on the tips of my ears.
He walked over, his body towering over mine, as his hand slid up around the side of my waist. “You may want to take care of that..” he chuckled. “I can smell your desire from down the hall.” His eyes glowed a bright orange as he looked over me. “ Also, I’m Lucien, the little guy is Lute, and you smell.. delicious.” He smirked, his sharp fangs catching my attention. He leaned in closer, whispering in my ear. “I can help you, if you want.” He was trouble.. in every sense of the word.
I shook my head pushing him back. “Stop it! You’re just as bad! I’m not even whole and you’re trying to.. well.. whatever it is you’re trying to do..” I groaned.
I saw Zorin walking towards us and ran over to him. “Can you please take me somewhere that your brothers aren’t!” I sighed, looking up at him. He looked down at me, his eyes wide, confusion painted across his face. I gripped onto his arm, holding it close to my chest as another crash of thunder caused me to jump. “Z-Zorin..” I whimpered, and before I knew it, strong arms were wrapped around me, holding me tightly against his chest. He rushed me away back to his room, closing and locking the door behind us. I looked up, seeing Zorin looking frantically around the room. “W-What is it Zorin?” I asked.
“Which one of my i***t brothers bit you?” He asked, carrying me to the bathroom. He set me down on the vanity and flipped on the light. He ran some hot water and grabbed a rag. He wet it down before gently lying it on my neck where Vaius had bitten me.
I looked down, focusing on the rise and fall of his chest. “It was Vaius..” I said softly, watching as he appeared to stop breathing.
I looked up at him, seeing his eyes staring at my back in the mirror. “What is it Zorin?” I asked, turning to try to see.
He stopped me, placing his hands on both sides of my face, dropping the rag. “It’s nothing, just noticed your hair was all tangled!” He said, grabbing a brush off the vanity. “Come on, I’ll brush it for you, and give you some more comfortable clothes, it’s getting late, you can have the bed, I’ll take the couch.” He said, leading me back into the bedroom. He sat me down on the bed facing away from him, and began gently brushing through the tangles in my hair.
Once he was done, he stood, placing the brush on the nightstand and rushing to his dressed. He grabbed one of his massive shirts and handed it to me. “Here, I’ll turn around so you can get changed.” He said.
“W-What should I do with my underwear? Is there a washer or something?” I asked, I could see his cheeks turning more of a purple color than their usual pale blue.
“Just leave them with your other clothes, and I’ll wash them.” He said, staying turned away like he promised.
I cleared my throat once I was done, and back into bed. He turned back to me, grabbing the clothes and walking off, coming back a few minutes later. “If you need anything I’m in the next room.” He said.
“O-Okay.. thank you Zorin..” I smiled softly, leaning back in the bed, my eyes already beginning to grow heavy. It didn’t take too long before I was out like a light.
