{Arina’s POV}
I sighed, pulling the tiny human into my arms. It wasn’t often that my sisters and I ever even came across a human soul, this was more than out of the ordinary. I pulled her against me, and packed her into my brother’s bathroom. Melody followed, turning on the water in the tub, Flora grabbed a towel, a wash rag, and some hair brushes. This poor girl had wax and blood in her hair, we’d have to brush it out, and wash it well. It was crazy that any of our brothers asked for our help, it never happened before. This must be important, we all three knew it. I looked to my sisters, the three of us were all about the same height, I stood at 6’8, Flora at 6’6, and Melody at 6’4. Flora has pale purple skin, pastel purple hair, and pale purple eyes. While Melody has pale pink skin, pastel pink hair, and bright pink eyes. I on the other hand, have dark red hair, pale skin, and ruby red eyes.
I looked down to the girl in my arms and sighed. She was important to my brother, and I knew better than to ask any other questions than that, at least for now. “Flora, could you get this shirt off of her?” I asked, turning the girl toward my sister.
She set down the items she’d been gathering on the counter and walked over to me. “Of course.” She smiled, unbuttoning the oversized shirt and pulling it off, before a soft gasp left her lips. “This poor girl..” she whimpered.
“What is it sister?” I asked, turning the girls back to the mirror. Then I could see it, my heart nearly stopped, she had runes carved into her back in a large circle, all spiraling towards the center of her spine. “This is.. this is dark magic.. a sacrificial offering.. this girl, her soul.. it’s not just damaged.. it’s broken entirely, split..” I whispered. “Let’s get her washed up, get her dressed, and into bed, then we’ll have to have a discussion with our brothers.” I said, looking over to the two of them. They nodded, as he slid the girl down into the tub, she had stab wounds, one on her chest, and one on her back. This poor girl, she was attacked.. carved up.. tormented.. I just hoped she didn’t remember any of it.
We washed the girl up, scrubbing her hair, and brushing out all of the wax and blood from it. She had beautiful black hair, and pale white skin. As we got her out of the water and dried her off, we could see the curls in her hair already beginning to form. Melody stepped out of the room, coming back soon with a pair of white lacy underwear, and a white long sleeve dress. We dressed her, then I lifted her back into my arms and packed her back into my brother’s room, lying her in his bed and covering her up. Evander sat in the chair by the window in his room, Evryn close by him, watching the unconscious girl with anxious eyes.
I walked to my brother’s side and placed my hand on his shoulder. “Who is she to you brother?” I asked, looking over his face.
“She’s.. she’s our soulmate Arina..” he replied, fear oozing from his voice.
“She’s.. your..” I gasped, looking back to the sleeping girl in the bed. “Brother, there’s something you should know.. something important!” I said, looking down to him. “She wasn’t just murdered.. she was tortured.. she.. she was cursed..”
“What are you talking about Arina?” He asked, standing from his chair, his height looming over me. “Speak plainly!”
“She has runes.. carved into her.. she’s been sacrificed.. her soul, it’s not just damaged.. it’s broken apart.” I sighed. “The other parts of her.. they could be anywhere down here, and without having any way to find them, she may never be able to recover.”
A soft whimper left the girls lips, as I looked across the room at her. She rolled slightly from side to side, her eyes moving behind her closed eyelids. “A nightmare..” Flora said, walking to the side of the bed, placing a wet rag on the girls head. “It’ll only get worse unless we find the other fragments of her soul.” Flora added, brushing loose strands back from her face.
“We’ll have to tell the others..” Evryn sighed, fluttering over to the girl’s unconscious body. “If we don’t, we’ll have no hope in finding all of the pieces.” He climbed onto the pillow next to her, and nuzzled up to the side of her head.
A deep sigh filled the space behind me, as Evander leaned back against the wall. “You’re right.. we need to call a meeting with everyone, and just hope that they’ll be helpful instead of their usual selves.
“It’s okay Evander, we’ll figure this out together, we’re here to help you, don’t forget that!” Melody said, stepping forward.
“She’s right brother, we’re here, whatever you need!” I added, smiling up at him.
He smiled, a soft expression falling across his face. “Thank you.. all of you, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“I’ll go talk to Zorin, and Zeldryx.” Flora said, turning and leaving the room.
“Melody, you go talk to Lucien and Lute!” I said, watching as Melody nodded before scurrying off. “I’ll go talk to Vaius, and Vael.” I sighed, knowing that I’d given myself the worst of my brothers to talk to and convince to help us. He always was the most stubborn, and cruel of my brothers. I turned, leaving the room, allowing my brother his time alone for now, knowing that he’d need it to clear his mind before this storm came to full fruition.
