Chapter 22
When Brandon opened his eyes he was on the floor of the observation room on the other side of the glass.
The Childs dead body had been removed from the room....and Brandon had been placed with Hovel, Nora and Jacob.
Hovel and Jacob were standing a few feet away speaking to each other in hushed tones about something.
And Nora was sitting next to him patting his cheek and calling his name.
"Brandon? Brandon!" she called, then called again when he opened his eyes.
The moment Brandon saw her an unspeakable grief began to well up inside of him.
