I stared around. The decorations were really screaming extravagance. Well I wouldn’t prefer it any other way. All other packs must know that The Wolf’s pack is not just the strongest but the biggest and most regal.
‘Dad, how’s my cloth?’
Laura ran in the big hall with Betty. They were wearing the same identical pink floral dress. If one saw them they would think they were sisters.
‘You both look extremely stunning.’
I’ve seriously had to thank Beth. She and my mom outdid themselves in today’s preparation. The dresses too were also very pretty.
I said hugging both of them.
‘Thanks dad’
‘Thanks Uncle’
They both said together. They are the only people I allow to regard me so fondly.
‘So what are the rules girls?’
‘Stay close to Ivan, shout or mind link if there’s danger and most importantly, do not wander around’
They both said trying to imitate me, noting all the pauses and even my deep gruff voice.
‘Well then it’s settled. Guests would soon start arriving. Remember to stay close.’

‘We’ve arrived sis.’
Kris informed me bringing out the small glass of potion hidden within his clothes.
I breathe in the fresh air of The Wolf’s. This is certainly not the first time I’m in a werewolf land, but something about this place is pure and surprisingly welcoming. Guess its cause of the party.
‘Drink it quickly. I don’t have such time to bother of what you’re thinking’
Kris could be such a huge bore at times and we hardly communicate except I’m on missions. Kris is more or less a werewolf. He has that vampire gene in him though. He always wanted to be a member of a werewolf pack but my dad refused vehemently. Kris is only Kris when he’s among his own or so he says.
I collect the glass from him and drank the contents.
In addition to being a werewolf, Kris is the pack’s young best alchemist. With more practice, I’m sure he’ll defeat Master Sukku.
The contents tasted bitter but very soon I could feel my vampire’s part weaken. My vampire beast is going to throw a fit at me once the effect diminishes, but I’ll always take the risk. Hopefully she’ll get used to it.
‘I’ll deal with you later Evelyn Leonaz.’

I smirked as my wolf, Ella yelped in a victory dance. I can’t blame her though. She’s always caged in as Emma, my vampire beast is aggressive and most importantly, nobody must know that the vampire princess is a hybrid.

‘I can see all the guests are present though I hoped we all could come up with a little bit excuse. Seeing we’re all here’ I directed my eyes to my mom. She used her eyes to behave. She didn’t need to talk it or mind link. I just understood.
‘Make the celebration short and by noon the Goddess ceremony would start. One more thing, don’t go anywhere you’re not told. The consequences will be dire.’ I said in my alpha tone and I felt the room shiver just how I like it.
I turned to my side and saw my mom shake her head while my daughter and Betty were smiling. They both love this intimidating part of me in public, while my mom completely hates it ‘because it puts people on edge. What can I say, this is the only way I can protect the people I love.
‘Alexander, when will you learn?’ My mom mind linked me.
She never scolds me in the public even from when I was little. She understands that I must be respected in the public and never opposes me out.
I came down the podium and many alphas were coming to me and greeting me. Sometimes they would try to start deep conversations but I love to keep it short. Any small spittle from me could cause me a huge loss.
My neck was getting stiff from this entire pretentious charade. I smelled coffee that my mate makes me. Something new was there, vanilla and strawberry mixture.
The first thought that came to me was Beth. She always wanted to make coffee like she did, but the vanilla and strawberry. That’s nice.
My wolf, Nicole was getting all excited as my nose tried to get the source of to view. And I did.
