As it turned out, Zane was waiting for me in the hall a few feet away from the garden, leaning against the doorway with his arms over his chest and one leg leaning back.
Shaking my head in disbelief, I mimicked him and leaned on the other side of the doorway, facing him.
“What are you doing here? Eavesdropping?” I asked with a raised brow.
Letting out a small chuckle, he stood up properly and placed his hand in his pocket. “Come on, I’m like miles away. Can’t I just be worried about you?”
