I held my breath, still kissing Silas, when I felt a hand tap me, jolting me back to reality. “Ms. Jade, can you hear us?” A masculine voice reached out, my vision a little blurry. “Mom?” “Yes, baby.” I smiled, trying to adjust myself, as I slowly sat up while the doctor removed the drip I was receiving and replaced it with another.
