Jade’s POV
My eyes fluttered open, and voices from a distance were the first thing I heard.
My vision was still blurry, and my head felt fuzzy. I felt a bit weak, and my whole body felt so numb.
Just then, my eyes flickered to the drip which seemed to be lingering on my left hand.
“f**k,” I winced, throwing my hand across my forehead, before finally noticing the whole environment.
It was clearer now. I'm in the hospital receiving treatments.
Questions like, 'How did I get here?' popped into my mind before memories came crashing in.
“I was talking to him…” I paused, a frown crept to my face, and the whole place still looked blurry. My brain was all fuzzy, trying to recollect what had happened.
Then suddenly, I stopped. My chest is rising and falling. “...I fainted,” I concluded, tears pricking my eyes as I tried to take off the drip when I suddenly heard some faint voices that sounded exactly like those of Silas.
“He's here…” I spoke beneath my breath.
I mean…what am I thinking? He said that he was the one who had brought me here.
Quickly, I slid back into bed, lying horizontally, as I had done before, and shutting my eyes close.
I can't even face this murderer. Not yet. I want to be on my own. But well…it seems there was always a big surprise waiting at the end of the tunnel for me.
My stepsister…she's here.
The door opened, and I heard both of them giggling, laughing as if nothing mattered.
Well…at least I don't.
“Are you really going to allow her to have that bastard?!” Morgan stormed in, anger evident in her voice.
I do not need to open my eyes before I know she has an irritating look on her face at the moment.
“You promised!” She added, her voice filled with jealousy, and hatred.
“I'm taking out the baby,” Silas concluded, each of them not minding that I was here and I could be awake just like I am right now.
“Can she hear us?” Morgan suddenly snapped her finger across my face, running her hand through my face to be sure I wasn't seeing them.
“I don't give two f***s, actually. ” Silas responded, pulling Morgan into his embrace, both of them chuckling aloud like little children.
“The doctor is going to take it out before she wakes up. She's still under a powerful sedative,” Silas smirked wickedly.
I could see everything with my eyes half open most times. I had acted so well, none of them noticed I was listening to their conversation.
But when I thought I had seen it all, Silas pinned Morgan to the wall, right in front of me, and he pulled down her panties, leaving me much angrier than before.
This man has the guts to make an effort to remove my baby and now he is f*****g my sister right in front of me? What insolence!
I grabbed the bedsheet, holding it tighter than before while I heard my sister moan against the hospital wall.
“How much did u pay the doctor?” She moaned, kissing him on the neck while tears rolled down my cheeks.
I get it. I might have been a bad person to Morgan. But why would she even want me to abort my baby? My child.
It's innocent. Nor does it have anything to do with this whole game. Why would they want it gone?
“I paid him a sum of fifty million dollars with his reputation at stake if this plan doesn't fall through.” Silence confessed, bending Morgan over while she moaned silently as I watched Silas thrust into her.
I almost screamed the word ‘You disgust me,’ but I cannot. I would only be putting not just me at danger but also my baby.
Tears rolled down my cheeks, falling to bed as I watched Morgan cry the word “harder, Silas. You belong to me. f**k me like you own me,”
I can't believe these two are doing this in the hospital. Most especially in front of me?
Has he been cheating on me with Morgan since our marriage began? I mean well…Morgan was his to begin with. But he didn't even respect the marriage vow!
Just as soon as they were done, and Silas was done spilling himself to the ground, the door opened, revealing the doctor.
“I'll get to work,” the doctor announced.
“Good,” I watched as Silas tapped his shoulder before whispering. “No mistakes,”
“Well, I wish you could kill her—”
“C’mon Morgan. It's not up to that level.” Silas interrupted, pulling her cheeks playfully while I watched him pocket and walked out hand in hand with her.
My breath hitched, bile rose to my throat as I tried to stop the tears from flowing but I couldn't.
I just cannot do this anymore. This was overwhelming. This…this life…
“Stop!” I halted the doctor in his tracks, taking out the drip from me.
Quickly, I pulled him to myself, holding the needle to his neck like how they do in movies.
Well… I happened to have learned some while watching movies but I never knew a day like this would come when I would have to use it.
“What are you doing Mrs Thornfield?” His breath faltered, hot breath fanning my hand.
“I should be the one asking you that f*****g question!” I thundered, pointing the needle to his neck, ready to proceed if he messes up.
“Where’s the f*****g fifty million dollars?!” I snapped, my hand grazing his behind searching for his phone.
“I don't know what you are—”
“I suppose you know who my father is. He won't hesitate to blow your f*****g heads off if he finds out you are trying to abort his grandchild!” I raged, watching him tremble under my threat.
I felt a headache hit me, but I wasn't going to buckle, at least till I'm done with this nuisance called a doctor.
“So, I will ask again, doctor…nicely…” I paused with a mischievous smile spread across my lips.
“Fifty million dollars or your life?”
