“I came running as soon as I heard,” Silas planted a kiss on my forehead, while Aiden came crying, his little, cute eyes beholding mine.
I knew better than to flinch or shout at Silas seeing Aiden was watching.
“Come, baby,” I beckoned to him, trying to sit up, when the door opened, revealing Aaron Steele standing there.
I rolled my eyes because I wasn’t expecting someone like him to show up.
“Mommy, I was so scared.” Aiden cried out. “I thought I was going to lose you.” He continued, crying so hard, tears rolling down his cheeks, while I wiped them off.
“It’s okay, baby. I’m sorry for scaring you.” I smiled, managing the pains that stung my chest.
