Jade’s POV
I’ve been thinking about this for the past few weeks after I got out of the hospital bed, and immediately after the death of Mrs. Helen’s sister.
I could barely sleep at night, and John has been barely functioning as my personal assistant. I knew I didn’t want to tackle that right now. So I decided to keep Aiden out of this looming battle.
“You really need to help me, Mrs. Helen. Not just because of Aiden, but I cannot bear to lose you, too.” I held her hand tighter.
