“Thanks, Raina,” I smiled at the airport, waving at her with tears in my eyes.
Now that my friend is going back to Paris, I wish I could tag along, but then…I have a lot of unfinished business here.
Regardless of how much I was flourishing in Paris, I still couldn’t leave New York for it because I needed to be sure my business was now firm and standard.
This is the life I have chosen for myself, and I need to make sure that Aiden doesn’t walk the path I walked. It was a tough one, so I need to make sure I give my son the best.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I waved my friend continuously, even after she had left. I remembered I almost lost her last Christmas, and I vowed in my mind never to allow her visit until I’m done with everything ongoing.
