Aaron Steele took a step forward, a form of smirk settled on his lips while he stared at me with a frown before finally softening his look.
“Relax, daughter. Do you think I’m going to do anything bad to you?”
“It’s not like it’s your first time,” I replied between gritted teeth. My heart raced faster, unsure of my decision. But I knew I had to be very careful.
“I won’t be staying with you guys,” I cleared my throat, taking a few steps back. “I’ll only come visiting for anything that requires work.”
