It turned out that Philip’s opinion about all the gossip or drama about us is similar to mine. He believes that it should not matter if a male player enjoys playing with a female. In the end we are just a couple of people who have common hobbies – in this case also jobs – and that playing or hanging out together must not mean anything other than just being friends.
I had considered that maybe he was boosting all the comments about our relation on purpose. However, talking and playing with him a couple of days ago helped us clarify everything.
Now I can finally stream in peace, without feeling too uncomfortable whenever his name appears on my chat.
