I sat up on the bed and grimaced as I watched Lisa sleep. I couldn't believe she was able to fall asleep after dropping such a bombshell.
Her stepfather was at it again. I didn't know much about him, but I had had my share of his skirmishes.
A few years ago he teamed up with some upcoming companies and together, they waged war against Greene Real Estate Agency; a subsidiary of the Greene Conglomerate.
He failed woefully and his attack boomeranged. Lakeside lost a lot of money in effect and they are still fighting to stand.
If I knew he would be at the hospital with his wife the other day, I wouldn't have gone down with Lisa. Now I could see through him, he now knew about Lisa and me and he wanted to get even with me through her.
