“Werewolf!” Raina shrieked.
“It’s okay!” Rune’s werewolf insisted in his deep voice.
“Get off my boyfriend!” Raina hurled a curse at him that he managed to dodge.
“Don’t!” I shouted at her.
“Kill him!” Cade exclaimed as Rune dived behind the desk.
“Don’t hurt him!” I begged. “It’s just Rune, he’s not bad!”
“That thing is not my brother!” Raina screamed. “It’s a monster!”
“No he’s not!” I ran over to Rune behind the desk. He’d already transformed back.
There were tears in his eyes. He looked so hurt by Raina’s words.
