The morning After

Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls of the villa, painting the open living area in warm golden tones. The smell of fresh coffee, sizzling bacon, and tropical fruit filled the air as the private chef finished setting up breakfast on the outdoor deck. Mia stepped out wearing a short white sundress that fluttered around her thighs with every step. Her long wavy dark hair was still slightly damp from her morning shower, and a secret, satisfied smile played on her lips. She felt powerful. Thrilled. The memory of Alexander’s passionate kisses in the pool last night, followed by her own defiant recording session, had left her buzzing with determination. Lily was already at the table, happily piling her plate with food. “Morning! You look glowy today. Did you sleep well?” “Best sleep I’ve had in ages,” Mia replied, her voice sweet as she took the seat directly across from where Alexander usually sat. “The ocean sounds are magical at night.” Alexander emerged from his bedroom a moment later, wearing a fitted black t-shirt and linen shorts. He looked devastatingly handsome, but there were faint shadows under his eyes. The moment he saw Mia, his steps faltered slightly. He avoided her gaze, focusing instead on pouring himself a large cup of black coffee. “Morning, Dad,” Lily said cheerfully. “You look like you didn’t sleep much. Were you working again?” Alexander cleared his throat, sitting down at the head of the table. “Something like that. Rough night.” His voice was carefully controlled, but Mia noticed how his knuckles whitened around the coffee mug. Mia’s foot found his under the table immediately, brushing lightly against his ankle just like at dinner. This time, he pulled his leg away quickly. “Everything okay?” Mia asked innocently, loading her plate with fresh pineapple and yogurt. “You seem a little tense this morning, Alexander.” He finally looked at her. His dark eyes held a storm of emotions guilt, desire, frustration, and something hotter. “I’m fine. Just… thinking about boundaries and responsibilities.” Lily raised an eyebrow, chewing on a piece of toast. “Boundaries? Dad, we’re on vacation. The only boundary you should be worried about is how much sunscreen you put on. Speaking of which, you two are coming snorkeling with me after breakfast, right?” “Wouldn’t miss it,” Mia said brightly, her eyes never leaving Alexander. Under the table, she tried to reach for him again, but he shifted his chair back slightly, creating distance. Breakfast continued with Lily carrying most of the conversation, talking excitedly about the colorful fish they might see and the underwater camera she had brought. Alexander responded in short, distracted sentences, his gaze fixed on his plate or the ocean horizon. He barely looked at Mia. But Mia was thrilled. His avoidance only proved how deeply last night had affected him. She had gotten under his skin. Deep. Halfway through the meal, while Lily was distracted taking photos of a colorful bird on the railing, Mia pulled out her phone under the table. With a few quick taps, she sent the video she had recorded last night the full, raw, explicit clip of her f*****g herself with the toy while moaning his name. She watched Alexander’s phone light up on the table with the notification. He picked it up casually, then froze when he saw the thumbnail. His entire body went rigid. Mia bit her lip to hide her smile as she took a slow sip of coffee. Alexander’s eyes widened slightly as he opened the video on low volume. Even from across the table, Mia could see the screen lighting up his face. She knew exactly what he was watching: her naked body arching on the bed, legs spread, the thick toy sliding in and out of her as she gasped his name over and over. “f**k…” he muttered under his breath, so quietly only Mia could hear. Lily looked up. “What’s wrong, Dad?” “Nothing,” he said quickly, locking the phone and placing it face-down on the table. His neck was flushed, and his jaw was clenched so tightly Mia worried he might crack a tooth. When his eyes finally met hers again, they burned with raw, possessive heat. The guilt was still there, but now it was mixed with something darker. Something hungry and territorial. Mia smiled sweetly at him. “Is the coffee too strong this morning?” Alexander’s voice came out low and rough when Lily looked away again. “You’re playing a very dangerous game, Mia. Sending me something like that… at breakfast… with my daughter sitting right here.” “I thought you might need a reminder of what you’re missing by pulling away,” she whispered back, her foot finally managing to brush his calf again. “Did you like what you saw? Did you hear how I was moaning your name?” His hand disappeared under the table. For a second, Mia thought he might push her foot away, but instead his fingers wrapped around her ankle in a firm, almost bruising grip. Possessive. “You have no idea what you’re doing to me,” he growled quietly, his eyes dark with lust and barely contained anger. “Watching you f**k yourself while crying out for me… it made me so hard I could barely think straight. But this has to stop. Last night was a mistake. That video needs to be deleted.” Mia’s eyes sparkled with defiance. “I’m not deleting it. And I’m not stopping. You kissed me like you’ve been starving for me. Your hands were all over me in that pool. You can feel guilty all you want, Alexander, but your body doesn’t lie.” Lily stood up suddenly. “I’m going to grab my snorkel gear from my room. Be right back!” The moment Lily disappeared inside the villa, Alexander leaned forward, his grip on Mia’s ankle tightening. “You little tease,” he said, voice low and dangerous. “Sending me a video of you riding that toy, moaning my name like a prayer… Do you have any idea how possessive that made me feel? I wanted to storm into your room last night and replace that toy with the real thing.” Mia’s breath hitched, heat flooding between her legs. “Then why didn’t you? Why are you sitting there pretending you don’t want to bend me over this table right now?” Alexander’s eyes flashed. “Because I’m trying to be the better man. Because if I give in, I won’t be able to stop. You’re too young, too close to Lily, and I’m supposed to be the one with control.” Mia leaned closer across the table, her voice a seductive whisper. “I don’t want control. I want you wild. I want you to stop fighting how much you want to f**k me. Last night in the pool, when your hands were gripping my ass and your tongue was in my mouth… that was real. Don’t take it back this morning.” He released her ankle but didn’t move away. His chest rose and fell heavily. “You’re going to destroy me, Mia Thompson. That video… Christ. The way you looked, the sounds you made… I’ve never seen anything so f*****g hot in my life. It made me feel crazy possessive. Like I want to mark you so no one else ever touches you.” Mia’s smile turned triumphant. “Then mark me. Stop pushing me away and take what you want. I’m right here, soaked just thinking about you watching that video while sitting across from your daughter.” Alexander rubbed his face with both hands, torn between guilt and raw lust. “Delete the video, Mia. Please. And promise me you’ll stop pushing. Last night can never happen again.” Before Mia could respond, Lily returned with her gear bag. “Ready? The boat leaves in thirty minutes!” Alexander stood up quickly, adjusting his shorts discreetly. “Let’s go.” Throughout the short walk to the dock, he kept physical distance from Mia, but his eyes kept finding her. The look in them was no longer just guilt. It was hot, possessive, almost feral. The video had done exactly what she hoped it cracked his resolve even further. As they boarded the private snorkel boat, Mia sent him one more quick text: **“I’m not deleting it. Every time you watch me moan your name, remember how good it felt kissing me. I’m yours, Alexander. Stop fighting it.”** Alexander read the message, his grip tightening on his phone until his knuckles turned white. He looked up at her, eyes blazing with a mixture of warning and burning desire. Mia simply smiled and adjusted her bikini top, thrilled and more determined than ever. The guilt had set in for him. But for her, the morning after only confirmed one thing: She was going to win this game. And Alexander Voss was already starting to lose control.
