Where Sun and Moon Collide

Chapter 2

         The warm shower was indeed very relaxing for Savannah and when she finally stumbled out of the bathroom she fell into her bed and passed out for several hours. When she woke up, it was to the unpleasant surprise of her grandmother staring at her from very close to her face. Savannah shot up shrieking. "Grandma! What are you doing?! You scared me half to death!" The elderly lady did not acknowledge the fact that Savannah was speaking to her, she simply gazed intently into  her only granddaughter's eyes. 

            Savannah walked shakily to the bathroom only to look in the mirror and become as mesmerized by her image as her grandma had been. Her eyes had changed overnight. Where before her eyes had been a deep, chocolatey brown, they were now a bright, almost metallic yellowy-gold that glittered in the sunlight streaming down through the window. She opened her mouth in a silent gasp, then gasped out loud. Her teeth had grown into fangs! She ran back to her room where her grandmother still stood. "Grandma! What do I do? Can I get rid of these?" Savannah looked absolutely terrified, pointing to her eyes and fangs. The woman shook her head solemnly, then pointed to the phone book and said "Look for Lady Stella. She will know." With no further explanation, she turned and walked out.
