“Do you like it?”
“Yes.”
“I’ve looked on the internet about this seafood platter. I hope you don’t mind if we eat another seafood for our dinner.”
I shook my head. “I don’t mind.”
We were having dinner. As promised, we had it outside on the sofa with countless stars on top of us. I took too long in the bathroom and I was grateful Micah didn’t question it. Maybe he was aware of it too.
“Did you have fun today?”
“I do.”
“I’m glad then.” Yeah, he was glad. He could leave me with ease. Was he truly wanted to leave me? Did he ever worry about us? Or even me?
No. I had to stop thinking about it. I had decided to let him go. I would set him free tomorrow – with a smile.
