CHAPTER IXWHAT HAPPENED TO WORRALS When Worrals had taken off into the murk she was fully prepared for a difficult flight, not so much on account of enemy opposition as the weather conditions. Still, she reflected, she couldn’t have it both ways. If the weather cleared, enemy aircraft would soon be on her track. If it became worse, there would be no enemy aircraft to worry her, but it might take her all her time to find the aerodrome. Actually, it all proved easier than she expected. If there was any enemy opposition she saw nothing of it, but as visibility was restricted to a hundred yards or so this was no matter for wonder.
