4 Until the words left her mouth, Laurel honestly hadn’t intended to blurt them out. But Jason had been sitting there, watching her with sympathetic dark eyes, and she’d figured, What’s the harm? He’s a civilian, after all. She found herself wishing he wasn’t, though. The second he’d walked through the door of the restaurant, she’d thought he was probably the best-looking guy she’d ever seen. His features were so perfectly sculpted, he looked like he should be in a museum. Dark hair and eyes, but not as dark as most Wilcoxes. A nice tan.
