“I THINK SHE’S AWAKE.” Jonathan listened at the bedroom door thirty minutes later as Neumann held his breath. “Time to see the magic of Jonathan’s Web in person.” He eased the door open, heart pounding with anticipation. Dee lay calm on the bed, staring at the abstract painting of a waterfall. She jerked when she saw the two men. Jonathan braced himself in case she threw something again.
