Joshua I left Scarlet and walked down to the kitchen preparing a plate of food for my mother before walking back up the stairs to the second floor. I walked past my father’s old room to her door and turned the lock, pushing it open. She sat in a chair next to the window. An ashtray sat on the table beside her along with a box of tissues. Her eyes were swollen and red. “Thank you for coming.” She choked. I nodded and walked the tray over to her, placing it on the table. “Who replaced Scarlett?
