“That was truly something, dear.” A soft voice offered behind me.
I turned to see a middle-aged woman smiling kindly.
“Thank you. I’m Scarlett, I don’t believe we have met.” I told her.
“I’m Lotta, Gamma Benjamin’s mate. We just got back today, and I’ve been so excited to meet you.” I could see why everyone loved her. She seemed to be the embodiment of Mother Goose.
“Sam was very excited about your return. I met Gamma Benjamin earlier. Have you settled in at all?”
“I did a quick clean of our old house. It was nice to be home again.” She smiled. “I think we have dinner in hand. Would you like to eat together?”
“That would be really nice, thank you.”
