Chapter Seven
After a couple of hours my knees ached from kneeling on the hard floor. A pain grew in my back, but I stayed where she demanded. I had learned my lesson months ago when I knelt in the tiny cage, trying my best to not ring the bells.
I’m not sure how long I lasted before fatigue and pain took over. Finally I settled back on my heels and tried to relax. It was impossible to remain at attention while kneeling any longer. No one could stay on their knees with the back straight, chest out and shoulders back with fingers interlocked together behind my back.
Suddenly the door burst open and my Mistress stormed into the chamber.
“What did I tell you to do, slave?”
“I was to kneel in the corner at attention, Mistress.”
“And how long were you supposed to remain that way?”
