Our Final Destination

DAHLIAS POV

I wake up early feeling a bit sore. I get up and walk to the bathroom and run an extra hot bath. I soak in it for about 30 minutes letting my muscles relax. I get out and dry off and get dressed for the day. I run to the car and go down the road to pick us up some breakfast to start our day. I get back to our room and Zaks awake and about to message me.

"Where'd you go?"

"I got us some breakfast. We have to run to grandpas for the day and I figured we could go see Ma for lunch or dinner and get a couple drinks. You should do the karaoke with me this time. Pretty pretty pleeeease" I say with my best whine, puppy dog eyes, and lip pout.

"Maybe. If you're good today" he says winking at me. We quickly eat our food and he gets dressed. We head out to go see my grandpa and grandma one last time. The last visit was bittersweet. He had framed photos of us all over his living room and asked what channel the show would be on and when episodes with me would be in it. Zak writes it all down and puts it on the fridge for him. We all head over to the nursing home to visit with my grandma. She seems to be doing a lot better today than usual. She's eating more and talking more. She remembered my name right off the bat. She was alert and everything. Almost seemed like she was her old self. I brought her the pasta I had made the night before to see if she liked it. I go heat it up in the microwave and put it on a plate for her.

"Wow. You made this? I'm so proud of you. I really taught you well. This is almost exactly like mine. Its incredible. You did really great. You will be feeding Zak for years to come. The--

"Closest way to a mans heart is through his stomach" me and my grandma say in unison as we laugh some. As me and Zak say our goodbyes to my grandma I hand her a photo of us to remember.

"I love you grandma. Here's a photo of us so you can remember us and keep us close to you. I'll try to come home for the holidays but we might be filming our show during that time." I say.

"Don't worry about us. Get back home and stay away from here. You deserve all the happiness in the world but you won't find it here. Come by when you can. I will hold this picture and moment close to my heart for forever. He's the one for you. You understand? You glow. You smile. You laugh more than i've ever seen. Be with him. And love him til death do you part." she says as she gives me a big tight bear hug. Her and my grandpa say goodbye as well.

"And you. Zak. You take care of our youngest baby. She's strong. She loves like no other. She fights like no other too. Treat her like the Queen she will always be. There is no one on this Earth like her. And you seem to be the only man who deserves her. Love her deeply and never go to bed angry. Take care Zak." Her and Zak hug and we all head to the car. We get in and We go drop my grandpa off back at home. We spend a few minutes saying goodbye and I go give him a hug.

"Take care hunny. Be safe. I'll be waiting to see you on TV." I smile and hug him and walk back to give him and Zak a moment.

"My wife's never been wrong before about true love. Listen to her. And treat our baby how she deserves. Take care Zak." he says as they both hug. We get in the car and drive off headed toward Ma's. Once there we go in, order food and drinks, and find us a table close by. Ma, Jannie, Jess, Trent, and Tommy all sit and talk to us for a few hours and then we all say our goodbyes. We finish up wt the bar and head back to the hotel. We finish up packing and spend the rest of the night relaxing, going to bed rather early.

ZAKS POV

We wake up pretty early and start getting ready for a long day of flights. We head toward the airport and hand the woman at the desk the keys to the car and sign the papers. We head to the terminal getting on our first flight. We both slept through the first two flights. Once on the flight to Las Vegas she's bugging me when we get home to start a fire so we can dance and have a romantic night and celebrate surviving a trip back to Maine. I laugh and agree. A couple hours later we finally make it home. We get off the plane and get our luggage heading outside. We could feel the warmth on our skin. We see Aaron and put our stuff in his car and head home. Once in the house Dahlia runs into our room and grabs our bathing suits. She throws mine at me and she quickly starts stripping, putting hers on. I throw mine in fast and we rush to the pool jumping in. We smile and laugh as she swims over to me wrapping her legs around my waist. I wade around the pool as she just hugs me. I sit on the steps and pull her face to look at me.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too. Thunder stealer" she says sticking out her tongue laughing. "I missed this. I missed the heat and going out and doing stuff with just you. I was so overwhelmed back home. I couldn't take a full day of doing nothing. I am more than ready to stay home all day tomorrow and just relax in the pool and have a fire and hangout and enjoy myself for a little bit." she says.

"I have to run out and get some stuff tomorrow. But you can stay home and have the place to yourself. I shouldn't be more than a couple hours. I figured I would go get some groceries and stuff so I could cook you a nice romantic dinner. I had a blast in Maine but you are right. It is amazing to be home. I loved spending time with your grandparents though. It was so wonderful. But are you okay? I know we didn't get to talk about what happened when you first saw your grandma. I meant to but between being so busy or sleeping I just didn't get the chance." I say.

"Ooh fancy dinner. That sounds good to me. In all honesty I will probably just sleep in super late. I'm glad you enjoyed it and them. They seemed so happy to be around you. Uhm.. I'm okay. I'm just glad the last day was filled with happy memories. That's what matters. I can't dwell on her forgetting my name. She has dementia so it's bound to happen at some point I'm sure. It did suck though. Broke my heart a little bit. But I will be fine. I'm happy with how I left things." she says smiling. I could see her eyes had welled up a little bit and I give her a kiss on the forehead.

"You know.. it's okay to not be okay. You can cry about it. You can be angry about it. You can take a couple days to process it. I know it's hard. But I am glad you got to put a happy memory in there with her on the last day."

"Yeah. I heard what she said to you. Really made me smile. She has a way of just reading people. She can read someone like a book. She always told me my true love wasn't in Maine." She says.

"Oh? Maybe she could see the future and she saw me coming into your life and making it all better and fun." I say laughing a little. She just rests her head on my shoulder. I could feel her taking in a couple deep breaths. She must've been exhausted from all the flying and stuff. She laid there a good 5 minutes while I rubbed her back for her. I put my arms around her waist and start to get up to swim around a little when she lifts her head and kisses me. She puts her hand on the back of my head and the other on my chest. I think we both ended up realizing we didn't get much time for romance when we were gone. Even kissing was minimized quite a bit. As I kiss her back I place my hands on the sides of her butt pulling her closer to me. I run one hand up her back and pull the strings to her bathing suit top. As the top falls off we are passionately kissing. I lift her up and take her into the house, heading upstairs. I toss her on the bed and start kissing her neck down her chest and her stomach. I kiss down her legs to her feet and back up her thighs. I kiss the inside of her thighs all the way up to her center. I hear her sigh with pleasure. Then I pull away from her and give her a quick kiss on the lips and go to her ear.

"It's my turn to tease you" i say whispering in her ear softly. I stand back up and watch her slowly sit up. She walks past me toward the bedroom door when I hear her say

"Two can play that game. I could have you on your knees begging for it by tomorrow night."

I laugh and follow her down stairs. I go grab her bathing suit top and hand it to her so she doesn't have to walk around topless. She smirks and goes to her suitcase and pulls something out. She runs to the other bathroom and closes the door locking it behind her. I end up goofing off almost forgetting she was in there when I hear the door open. I look over at the doorways and she walks out. Her hair is now curled and shes wearing a little makeup. She has on a black see through lingerie with underwear and a bralette on underneath. She walks over to me sitting on top of me with her knees on either side of me. She begins kissing down my neck down my chest to my stomach. I can't lie I really wanted her in that moment. To absolutely ravage her. But instead I pick her up and set her back down giving her a kiss.

"Nice try. But its going to take a little bit more effort than that." I say smiling at her. As I walk to the kitchen I feel her come up behind me grabbing me.

"You sure about that?" she asks looking up at me through her lashes. I push her against the fridge lifting my arm up above her head. Im maybe an inch away from her lips

"I'm positive. Tomorrow night. It's a bet. You just might be the one on their knees." I say with a smile on my face. She gets even closer to me slipping away. As she walks past me her hand brushes up against me.

"We will see about that." she says walking toward the couch. I open up the fridge and get some stuff to cook dinner. This has been the most open and outgoing she has been toward me since we've started dating. She always so shy about this kind of stuff. It definitely made me want her even more. I make us dinner and go to wake her up when I realize how she had laid down on the couch. She was on her stomach with her legs bent a little bit making her ass stick out really good. She looked extremely hot. I gently wake her up and grab her hand pulling her toward the table. We finish dinner and she takes the plates to the sink. Before I could even get up out of my chair she stopped me and sits in my lap.

"Here's the rules. We can kiss and go down but the moment we start doing it and whoever does it first they lose. So we can tease each other in every single way possible. As long as we don't actually get it on then were good."

"Sounds like a plan. So we can go down on each other and give the other the most intense tease?"

"Yeah. If you want to." she says.

"Okay. Well im going to go swim some more and maybe start a fire to relax. Im honestly pretty tired tonight baby. If thats okay with you?" I ask.

"Yeah thats fine. As long as I can join you" she says with a smile. Little does she know I'm gonna tease the s**t outta her. I start a fire. Its about sunset and once it's built up pretty good I walk into the pool. She follows closely behind me. We race across the pool smiling and laughing.

"I'm genuinely happy this pool is cold right now. I've been hot all day. It's weird how temperature changes so much depending on where you're at. It was maybe 50° in Lubec. Meanwhile it's 92° here? Grateful for the heat and a pool. Not excited for summer though. Its going to be insanely hot. We should put something over the pool to keep it shaded. So we can still come out and enjoy a cold dip in the water babe." she says.

"Yeah that would be nice but we are gonna be filming and traveling so it makes it kinda difficult."

"I forgot about that. So does the investigation take the entirety of the trip or can we like check some local stuff out and go on hikes?"

"We can stay for an extra day maybe. It all depends. Some investigations can be a lot and really intense. Sometimes by the end of the season we are so drained. It really is a lot. I hope you realize that. And if it becomes to much you let me know. I don't want you getting hurt or anything. You can be more of a feature than anything. I will even redo your contract."

"No it's fine. I can handle it if you can. Im mentally strong. Physically not so much but mentally yes. I can do it." she says smiling up at me. I pull her over to me and pick her up. She wraps her legs around me and smiles. "Mmm I missed this so much. In a way I missed you. We didn't really get us time. It was kind of frustrating. All I could think about was coming home and being next to you talking about random stuff and having fun. Going on adventures and car rides through the city. I love being with you." she says blushing.

"I love being with you too. I gave you space so that you could spend time with your family and everything. Trust me I missed you too. I missed hanging out and being us. But I wanted to be respectful and let you have that time with your family. We can only go there so often ya know?"

"Yeah. Just happy to be home with you." she says while hugging me tightly. At this point its dark outside and the fire is needing some wood. I put her down and go grab a couple logs and add it onto the fire. She watches me as I go sit on the edge of the pool putting my legs in the water. She comes over to me standing next to me for a moment. She then walks between my legs embracing me in another hug. I pull her up into my lap and she laughs. I set her on my leg and we sit there for a little bit.

"I'm not hurting you am I? I know I'm sorta heavy."

"No. You're fine right where you are. In fact I put you there because I wanted you there. So don't worry about anything." We sit there for a bit longer before she gets up to grab her phone.

"You're positive I'm not hurting your leg?"

"I promise!" She sits back down and takes a couple of pictures of us. We pose and kiss and laugh for a minute. We check them out picking our favorite one and i grab her phone and put it behind me. She looks over at me confused and I slide her back into the pool. She gasps at how cold it is.I slide in right behind her and slide my hand onto her neck. She gasps again. I slide my hand down her body touching her core. She lets out a quiet moan before trying to turn around to kiss me. I quickly counteract her and keep her facing away from me. I gently kiss her neck while rubbing her sweet spot. she just about melts into my arms. She puts her hands on my forearms. I didn't realize how small they were. They barely covered half my forearm. As i go faster and faster she starts moaning loudly. She squeezes my arms tightly and I knew she was close. I keep going til I feel her body drop and I catch her. As she catches her breath she turns around to face me.

"Did you really just?"

"Yeah. I did. Did you like it?" I ask. She blushes and looks down at her hands. She was still kinda shaky and out of breath when she looks back up to me. "This is gonna be fun" she says with a devious smile. She gets out of the pool grabbing a towel and sitting by the fire. I get out and go sit next to her as we relax for a little while. She then gets up going into the house changing into a tshirt and saying shes gonna go lay down for the night.

"I'll be up in a bit baby. Im gonna let this fire die down some." I say. She shakes her head and I watch as she walks upstairs. I sit there awhile thinking about her and everything thats happened the last couple months. I grab a bucket of water and put out the fire. I go inside and walk up the stairs into our room. I see her asleep on the bed cuddled up near my side of the bed. I switch into a pair of boxers and slide in next to her kissing her forehead. She cuddles up next to me and I hold her in my arms falling asleep.
