Leona took the last of her bags and headed to her car. She was sad that this relationship crumbled. Leona had given Adrian her all, and instead of returning her affections and her energy, he cheated with the resident working girl.
Luckily she kept her house and furnishing. She headed back to her home with the expectation of going inside, but when she got there, the jerk himself was sitting in front of her door.
Leona was not the type of woman to have drama on her door. She was no longer the sweet young thing that would forgive cheating. Adrian was about to meet a whole new side of Leona.
She got out of her car, gathered her raven locs out of her way and braided them into a tight bun. she kicked off the heels she'd been wearing and slipped on her training shoes.
Adrian sat on her porch. How could she leave him? Theresa Miller meant nothing to him. He didn't understand what happened. He had come here to apologize. Maybe she'd take him back.
Leona let out a loud growl. She climbed up the side of her porch and jumped, flipping in mid air so that she landed in front of Adrian. Her brown eyes were no longer brown, they glowed gold.
" Get lost Adrian! How dare you show up here!" She snarled.
Adrian was startled. He had never seen her eyes do that. What was going on?! Had Leona been like this all along? She looked like a warrior. Adrian couldn't speak. He was sweating, from fear.
" I told you I was done. I meant that. You did the one thing I couldn't handle. You cheated. I gave you my youth, my heart and everything. and you destroyed me. I don't know why you think I'm still the same woman. as you can see, I'm not the one. Leave now or do I need to go further?" Leona snarled.
Adrian looked at the woman in front of him. He was startled by her eyes glowing gold. He'd never seen them do that before. It made him nervous and excited at the same time.
He'd never admit it, but he wished he would have never cheated on her.
Adrian raised his hands and backed away. He didn't want to see her go further. He knew he had messed up in coming here. Honest he thought he'd find her curled up on her couch crying.
Apparently he was wrong about Leona Heart. She was more than meets his eye, any man's eye for that matter.
