Hunter arrived at the water treatment plant at four-fifteen in the morning. He entered through the gap in the east wall and went directly to the northwest corner. From there he had a clean sightline to the primary entrance on the south wall and the east wall access point. Anyone coming through either opening would be visible at thirty feet before they reached his position. He stood with his back against the concrete and waited. He kept the charge at baseline. Not suppressed, not pushed. Present and ready the way it had been since the hospital. He stood in the dark and let his eyes adjust and did not move. At six-twenty he heard the vehicle.
