Locked Up

-Adi-       Wisps of my hair whirled around my cheeks, causing my eyes to flutter. A fan was blowing on me, sending cold currents up my body. I tried to move my hands in an effort to remove the hair, but my wrists were trapped at my side by handcuffs. Long chains extended from the floor, wrapping around my ankles like jewelry.        Heavy footsteps thumped above me, each sounding like the person was running. The same heavy footsteps began to mimic the sound of descending stairs. A sound of pounding was directly in front of me before I realized someone was at the door. Little metal ticking noises were audible from the other side, being aided by thick sighs from a male. The door gave way, and blue orbs met mine. "Oh! You're awake, this is good. Makes my job easier, I guess. It actually makes my job a lot easier." The male blabbed, his eyes traveling wildly across the gray cement walls. "Um, okay then. Does this mean you're going to take this ugly chain off of me?" I asked, obviously unhappy. "Yes, I do apologize for those, miss. They're safety precautions, in case you erm- wolf out." "Oh, okay," I spoke slowly. He then walked slowly towards me, pulling out a ring of silver keys. He pulled one from the bunch, and help it in front of him so I could see it. Clearly, etched upon its surface, it said "Luna." He placed the key in the locks, looking at me with a satisfying look. "Okay, if you would follow me, Alpha requests to see you." "Um, who?" I asked. "Alpha Gage." He breathed. At this, I felt frozen. Goosebumps rose on my arms, the temperature seemingly dropping. "I, um- I'm sorry. I can't see him." I began to sprint in the direction I heard the footsteps coming from earlier. I practically flew up the stairs and was met with two long hallways. I begin to bound down the one that leads left, before slowing my efforts. At the end of the hall stood a very angry Gage. He growled lowly, locking eyes with me. I backed up sheepishly, my step in sync with his long strides. I turned myself about-face, ready to break into a sprint before I met another hard chest. The guy who unlocked me was standing in my way. With every ounce of strength, I gave his chest a hard shove, sending him backward. I took advantage of his confused state and bolted. A thick chuckle arose from behind me and I took that as my invitation to continue running. I was met face to face with a large door, and I assumed it was to the outside. I quickly turned the knob to find it unlocked. I huffed in relief before yanking it open and rushed through it. X X X X X X -Gage- "What the f**k was that? You practically let her waltz out of here!" I screamed to Jase. "I, I don't know sir. She seemed fine, but out of nowhere she just... ran," he spoke, dropping his gaze to his shoes before walking in the opposite direction of me. I exhaled a long breath, collecting my thoughts. Adi was here, but she ran.  "She ran from us." My wolf hisses from within me, sending pounding headaches to my temples. I can't handle being away from Adi now. Not now, not ever again. I needed my sun. I walked slowly to the door, before taking in a deep whiff. A sweet scent invaded my senses with pleasure, and I followed the scent trail all the way to an open clearing. In the midst of the tall grasses lay my beautiful Adsila, her long hair sprawled out wildly. I walked towards her with caution, not wanting to scare her or upset her. I sat down beside her before laying in a similar position as her, my arm just barely brushing hers. Her eyes remained peacefully shut, but I could tell she was awake.  I turned on my side, propping up on my elbow to support my upper frame. "Adi?" I received a low grumble in response. "I'm sorry about my men, how they treated you and how I acted towards you. I should never have shown so much anger towards you, my love, and I am sorry." I spoke gently. She rolled over into a similar position as me, looking me straight in the eye. She took in a deep breath, and I prepared myself for forgiveness. "Sorry doesn't fix everything, especially in your case, Alpha." She spits, rising from her position and bolting away from me once more. She's feisty. Too feisty. Her sass is going to earn her a s******g. Maybe she should keep that up, I like that idea.
