THE ALMOST DEAD PARTY

1009 Words
Sera and the other two got into her car and left the mansion. “How do we find him now?” Leoba asked, “It's pretty simple and easy if you ask me” Adriel replied, “isn't one of his friends a party freak? He's got a whole i********: page dedicated to partying and s**t, pretty sure he'll be with them.” Adriel was already searching through his i********: page and scrolling through. “Aha, I found it. Luckily, he already posted. They're at a club not too far away, it's called hellfire.” He said. “Do you follow the page? Why would you follow the page? Do you like his friend?” Leoba asked all excitedly. “No, i only followed Gabriel because i was curious at some point about the nightlife not because i liked him” Adriel replied hotly, in truth he had followed Gabriel's page because he was curious about the guy who only loved partying and nothing else. He definitely was not going to admit to the fact that maybe, just maybe he was a tad interested in Gabriel himself. Leoba looked at Adriel from the backseat of the car in a most interesting manner, “whatever you say, but you know, you do sound suspicious. Very suspicious”. “Can we knock it off and find Christopher first? Send the directions to the car's GPS, I want to get there in time.” Sera said. She concentrated on driving while Adriel sent the directions and they arrived at the club in fifteen minutes. The club was in a popular area and was facing the expressway. It was a big building that extended out into a courtyard of sorts that faced the expressway. People milled around the cars parked in the courtyard and amongst the potted plants placed strategically as decorations. The place didn't even look safe from the outside Sera thought while contemplating how best to park in the courtyard, finally settling on a spot just out of the security camera view and close to the edge. It also gave her a leeway if they needed to drive off in a hurry, so long as no one stupid decided to block the car. Sera, Adriel and Leoba got down from the car and started towards the club's door. “Remember, we find him and get him out of there, along with his friends. The senator did say they moved together.” Leoba said while Sera and Adriel nodded. The club was milling with people, and you couldn't even see your front so good because of the smoke. If this was Chris's brilliant idea for a hiding place for fun, then he was nothing more than a fool. At the vip section, Chris sat with his friends Uriel and Gabriel watching couples and singles dance on the floor of the club while a few were up at the vip section milling around and dancing. Chris was thinking of his encounter with the girl at home, the leader he supposed of the team his father had hired. She sounded like she knew what she was doing but he knew she was way out of her league, he'd bet his father never told her and her team who the real owners of said flashdrive were. He could have told her who it was, that ought to put the fear in her eyes but she kept on going about how he needed help to the point that he could not wait to get out of the house that by the time he would think of that he'd already left the house and met up with Uriel and Gabriel, and they spent the next few hours partying, trying to have fun. It wasn't that he didn't realise how insane the danger of holding onto the flash drive was, he knew just how dangerous it was. He remembered the night two weeks ago when Gabriel had called him, scared and hiding under the bushes beside his home in the rain. Christopher had run there, not knowing how it was and assuming he was just drunk. He got to Gabriel's condo, only to find him cowering outside in the bushes covered in blood, that bloody flash drive held tightly in his fist. Someone had died that night, they had covered up the bodysven though, Christopher had tried to report to the police. The police got there and found nothing. He and Gabriel had gone back to the house to check and it was like nothing had happened. No one would know the cleaning lady, Loiusa, a sweet old woman, had intercepted a knife from a masked man chasing down Gabriel in the foyer. She had been stabbed to death, Gabriel too scared to turn around and help her. He'd hidden in the closet beside the door and didn't come out until it was quiet. By then Louisa was dead, her body cold and stiff on the foyer floor. Louisa who was so nice and would bring them coffee everytime they came to Gabriel's home, Louisa who would bake cookies and keep them warm for them to have while she made dinner on the nights they returned early from college. Lousia was gone and Gabriel had been too frightened to help her. She was just one victim and till this ended, there very well could be more. Yes, he knew just how dangerous it was and now his father brings in a woman that sets him on edge, when he saw her sitting in his father's office, she'd been sitting and then her head turned to look at him and her eyes were so beautiful that he'd almost wanted to flirt, he felt he'd known her all his life, that she had been present in every part of his life and they'd only just met. In fact, was that her he was seeing standing at the side table in the club? He wasn't seeing wrong, it was her and her little merry band of wannabe bodyguards. Christopher was mad.
