THE FIRST MEETING

Christopher slammed the door and walked down the hallway seething, who did his father decide he was to get three youngsters to look after him. He knew exactly why his father had gotten them, he'd bet that his father wouldn't tell them the whole truth either. He would not give up the flashdrive, it was the only thing keeping Anthony alive at this point, hell it was the only thing keeping them all alive. Christopher came out of the house, went straight into the garage, got into his car and peeled out of the driveway, his tires screeching in protest. He was still fuming from the argument with Sera. Who did she think she was, anyway? why would she look at him that way and say things like how it was obvious he needed help. she was too out of her depth and she didnt even know it yet. He dialed his friends, Gabriel and Adriel, as he drove. "Meet me at the club. I need to blow off some steam." "Already on our way, bro," Gabriel replied. "What's going on?" "Father's trying to babysit me again," Christopher said, rolling his eyes. "I'll tell you about it when I see you." He dropped the call and focused his attention on driving. Gabriel dropped the phone on the table at the restaurant where he and Adriel had decided to meet up for dinner before heading to the club together. Gabriel was 6 foot and had bronze skin with deep set blue eyes. He was an outgoing and outspoken man who enjoyed being around his friends when he could. He looked at Adriel who was wolfing down a club sandwich. Adriel was fair skinned and 5’ 10. He was the son of the District Attorney and he liked nothing better than lazing around and getting into trouble. He and Gabriel both ran a tech company called “The Grousss” that dealt in repairs of laptops and technology. “ We need to go”, Gabriel said to Adriel. Meanwhile, back in the senator's office, Sera turned around to face Senator Johnson, “ i see why you had to call us in, you have a son who keeps denying the reality, whatever that reality is”. “I would appreciate it, if you could take this job, keep my son safe. It wasn't him who got in trouble, but he's savior complex has literally put him in the sights of those who the flashdrive belongs to” Senator Johnson said. “Who exactly is after him and his friends?” Adriel asked. The senator shook his head, sat down and went “ that information isn't necessary and fo your sakes, i won't be mentioning it. All you have to do is ensure my son and his friends live while you try to retrieve the flash from him. I just need the flashdrive returned to it's actual owners.” With that, the conversation turned to the contract details. Sera and Senator Johnson wrapped up their conversation, discussing payment schedules and security details. As they finished, Sera asked, "Where's Christopher?", Senator Johnson frowned. "He should be in the house, maybe his room. I'll have Rachel check, just a moment.” The senator stepped out of his office and Sera turned to look at the others, “ Let's make this work, I'm most curious about the flashdrive”, “ i am intrigued, to be honest, and his behaviour is quite something interesting” Adriel said. The door opened and Senator Johnson stood looking in “he isn't in the house, he may have gone out to the club in his usual rebellious nature”, you could tell he was worried and the man wasn't used to being worried. Sera's instincts kicked in. "I'll go look for him." Senator Johnson held out a hand to hold her shoulder " he might have gone to his favourite club, i told him to stay home but i think the argument may have aggravated him". "If an argument aggravates him this much, I'm sorry sir, your son won't live long, no matter how many bodyguards you get." Sera turned around and signaled the girls to get in the car. Senator Johnson looked on and prayed Christopher returned safely. If only he could actually tell them what the Usb drive contained and why Christopher was hell bent on holding on to it. “How do we find him?” Leoba said, “maybe we should ask his friends, afterall birds tend to flock together”, Adriel said. Sera turned to look at him with a withering expression “ this isn't the time for sarcasm, you know”. “ well, it’s not like i’m wrong” Adriel had the grace to look slightly chastised, he was’nt wrong exactly, Christopher had run from home, probably off to tell his silly friends to run too. it was really stupid but then if the senator had told the story right, then not only was the son stupid even his friends were also stupid. “the maid said she saw him going towards the garage” rachel said, “we’ll try to track him down” Sera said.
