Ariana felt that Jack was too confident with his words.
"I will do it," replied Ariana. She was not afraid of Jack at all. She was confident that she could get the project.
"But," Jack smirked. He would not let Ariana just act bravely. "If you fail to get the project, then you have to leave the Brown family and your husband. Do you dare to be my challenge, Ariana?”
Rose stared at Ariana. She actually didn’t want to make the situation like this, but Ryan had changed her view of Ariana. He thought Ariana was annoying because she was at her husband’s side.
“Speak up, Ariana.” Rose wanted an answer.
“Okay.”, Ariana answered firmly and without any hesitation at all. “I won’t give up. I accept your
challenge, Jack. Be prepared to kneel to Ryan. I can’t wait to see it.”

Ariana returned home. Her mom happened to be visiting. Ariana told her what had been discussed at the company. Hearing Ariana's words, Melissa was shocked.
"You are such an i***t, Ariana. How dare you do that? Do you want to make me poor? What if we get kicked out of the Brown family!" Melissa shouted.
"That won't happen, Mom. I will work hard to get the project," Ariana tried to calm her mom down.
Melissa couldn't let this happen. Ariana's decision to bet with Jack was perilous. The Brown family had always looked down on her because Ariana married Adrian, a nobody with no clear background.
"You are too confident, Ariana. You don't have any experience that is adequate to be able to lobby Anderson Hill Company. You have brought us into a very big problem."
Melissa was extremely anxious. She didn't want to be kicked out of this family. She couldn't possibly live in hardship. She had always had stable finances because of the Brown family. She didn't want to have to live miserably out there. She was born with privilege. How could she survive without having anything?
Ariana was furious because her mother did not believe in her abilities. No one ever believed in her abilities. Ariana was always underestimated for not having any competence in the company. Even though her late grandfather used to love her so much, she was sure that their family company would succeed because of Ariana. Unfortunately, after her grandfather's death, Rose took over everything. Rose was not good at business and was more partial to Jack. Jack only took advantage of Rose. Jack was very ambitious and took the company at significant risk. The proof is that The Brown Rock Enterprise experienced a significant decline after his grandfather died. That made Rose worried, and they insisted on getting a project from Anderson Hill Company.
"You're just like Grandma, Mom. You never believed in me. Why did I act like that?" Ariana demanded an explanation.
It just so happened that Ryan had just come home. Seeing his mother-in-law coming, he wanted to greet her. Unfortunately, Melissa looked at Ryan with an expression of hatred.
"If only my dad hadn't married my daughter to you, then our lives wouldn't be like this. My family considers me a burden and useless!" Melissa grumbled.
Ariana felt that her mother shouldn't have said that. Ryan had nothing to do with all of this because this was her fight with Jack.
“What happened, Ariana?” Ryan didn’t understand why Melissa suddenly got angry.
“Anderson Hill Company is going to create new branding, and they are going to make a new business. Jack challenged me to do a project with them. We made a bet. If I can’t get the project, then I will leave the Brown family, but if I win, then Jack will apologize to you for what he did on grandma’s birthday the other day. I want Jack to kneel down to you.”
Ryan was amazed to hear the information his wife gave him. He was actually happy to hear the bet his wife and Jack made.
“Let’s do it,” Ryan said. “Prove that you are capable, Ariana. I will support you very much. You could definitely make Jack regret asking you to take this project. If you succeed, your grandma will see your ability, and you will shine at The Brown Rock Enterprise.
“Are you crazy?” Melissa scolded Ryan. “I know you are stupid and useless, but that doesn’t mean you can invite my child to be destroyed by you. I don’t want to be kicked out and become a homeless person!”
“Mom…” Ryan tried to explain.
“Don't call me mom, Bastard. I'm not your mother and I never agreed with your marriage to Ariana.”
Ariana felt annoyed by this argument. Her mother didn't support her. Even though Ariana also wanted to be seen in this family. Ariana had to prove Jack wrong. She could do anything if she worked hard.
“Stop it, Mom! You shouldn't be rude to Ryan. He supports me more than you! With or without your support, I will definitely get the project!”
“Do you want me to accompany you to Anderson Hill Company?” Ryan suddenly offered himself?”
“Now?” Ariana was surprised.
“Yeah, now.”
Melissa was shocked to hear Ryan's words.
"Don't mess with me, Ryan. Why did Ariana have to come with you? Did you intend for Ariana to fail to get the project? You're trying to get Ariana out of this family. You wanted revenge!"
"No, Mrs. Brown. I just wanted to help Ariana."
Melissa laughed at Ryan. "What can you do? Don't act like Ariana needs you!"
Ryan smiled. "Just believe me."
Ariana didn't want to hear her mother's scolding. She immediately asked Ryan out.
"Let's go to Anderson Hill Company!" Ariana said.
