Ariana felt displeased because her grandmother had been insulted by her husband. Even though Ryan sincerely gave the gift. Ryan collected money from his job as a pizza delivery man. "You shouldn't act like that to my husband, Grandma. He tried to give you a gift. And you actually justify James' disrespectful attitude towards Ryan." "Who cares?" Rose glanced at Ariana sarcastically. "From the start I didn't like it when Vincent wanted to marry you to that useless man. I knew it would embarrass my family. I'm surprised at you, Ariana. Why are you maintaining this marriage?" Jack took something out of his jacket pocket. A jewelry box that looked so luxurious. Rose's eyes sparkled when she saw the box. She immediately took it. "This is a limited edition diamond issued by The Anderson Jewelry. I got it with great difficulty. The Anderson Jewelry doesn't just sell their diamonds, Grandma. So, this is for you." Rose was touched by her grandson's gift. Meanwhile, Ryan and Ariana could only stare at her, whose attitude was different. Jack smiled while glancing at Ryan, feeling victorious because Rose appreciated his gift more. “As far as I know, The Anderson Jewelry closed last month because of the scandal that happened to the family’s grandson. They don’t sell jewelry anymore. How could you get the latest and limited edition diamonds, Jack?” Ryan suddenly said something shocking. Ariana stared at her husband. She wondered how Ryan knew about it. “Don’t talk nonsense, Ryan. Nobody like you wouldn't know about The Anderson Jewelry. You’re just jealous because I can give you diamonds while you can only give me cheap necklaces.” Rose looked at the ring carefully. She then approached Ryan, slapping him so hard in front of the guests. Ariana was shocked to see her grandmother slapping her husband. “What are you doing, Grandma? Why did you hit Ryan?” “You have to divorce your husband, or I won’t get a single penny of your grandfather’s inheritance. I can’t stand Ryan anymore. He’s a nobody, but he dares to comment on The Anderson Jewelry!” “Grandma, you should know about this. Why are you blaming Ryan? You should check it first if you want to know!” Ariana continued to defend her husband. Jack then called someone. He gave his phone to Rose. “This is from The Anderson Jewelry. Please speak up, Grandma.” Rose asked about The Anderson Jewelry over the phone. The conversation was not long. Only a few moments. She then hung up, staring at Ryan with overflowing anger. “You lied. The Anderson Jewelry still exists. How dare you say they are no longer operating? You have to apologize to Jack!” “No!” Ariana didn’t want her husband to do that. “Ryan didn’t do anything wrong. He shouldn’t apologize!” Ariana couldn’t accept it. “Darling, it’s okay. I have to apologize. I’ve made a scene here. It's easy.” Ryan felt sorry for Ariana, who was bullied by her family because of him. “I’m fine.” “What’s okay? They insulted you. I can’t accept it!” A few moments later, a man wearing formal clothes came. He faced Rose. “I came to deliver a gift from The Anderson family,” the man said. “The Anderson family?” Everyone in the room was shocked, including Ryan. “What did they give me?” “A million dollar luxury watch, ten. Then fifteen million dollar jewelry. This is a gift for their grandson’s wedding who married a woman in the Brown family.” Jack raised his eyebrows. The only granddaughter who got married was Ariana. But she married Ryan, the loser. There was no way Ryan was Williams Anderson’s grandson. “Maybe it’s for me.” A woman from the Brown family came over. “Aren’t I also part of the Brown family? I’m also Vincent Brown’s grandson. Rose was annoyed by the woman’s attitude. “You don’t deserve to say that. You can’t possibly marry the Anderson family’s grandson. Do you think they would marry an ugly woman like you?” Rose spoke harshly. Ryan remained silent. He knew very well that this was his grandfather’s doing. He felt his grandfather was trying to gain his sympathy because he wanted him to return to the Company. His stepbrother had a big scandal, so he had to run away abroad. There was no one to be the heir there, so Ryan had to return. Unfortunately, Ryan had decided to no longer have anything to do with the Anderson family. “The only married Brown grandchild is Ariana.” Melissa Kaylee Brown, Ariana’s mother, spoke. Ariana was shocked. She didn’t feel like she was marrying a man from the Anderson family. “You’re wrong, Melissa.” Rose immediately dismissed Melissa’s words. She then approached the man who gave her the gift. “Who is the granddaughter you mean, Sir? I will give the gift to her,” Rose said. “I am sorry, Madam. I just delivered it. I don’t know who she means. If you are that curious, you had better contact Mr. Anderson.” Ryan felt tired of watching this drama. He wanted to talk but didn’t want his wife’s family to know about his background. “See, you can’t deny it anymore, Mom. The gift must have been given to Ariana. She is the only granddaughter in our family who is married,” Melissa said. Jack burst out laughing. He saw Ryan, who was silent without responding to anything. “How could Ariana marry into the Anderson family? Look at her husband, Ryan. He is just a pizza delivery man.” Jack loved to badmouth Ryan. “Mr. Anderson is not just anyone who would give a gift to a loser.” Ariana was so embarrassed. Her mother had confessed and used her name. The guests were whispering. They were discussing who the granddaughter was. While her mother insisted that the gift was for her. “I will keep the gift.” Rose didn't want this to drag on. "I don't want my party to be disturbed. If I already know who the intended recipient of the gift is, then I will definitely give the gift." "You should have given it to the person concerned, Grandma." Ryan disagreed with Rose keeping the gift. He was very sure that the gift was indeed for Ariana. "Don't teach me what to do. You're just a useless man who married my poor granddaughter. If I could, I want you and Ariana to divorce immediately. I'm a defect in my family, Ryan!" Ariana couldn't stand to see this. She couldn't bear to see her husband insulted as if he were not human. She decided to leave her grandmother's birthday party. "Ariana!" Ryan wanted to chase his wife, but Melissa immediately blocked him. "This chaos happened because of you, Ryan. If only Ariana had never married you!" Melissa left the party. She was breastfeeding her daughter. *** Melissa followed Ariana, who came home alone from Rose's party. She was with her husband, George Brown. They knew their daughter, especially Melissa, was embarrassed by what happened at the party. From the start, she never wanted her daughter to marry Ryan. “I will get a lawyer. You must divorce Ryan,” Melissa said. She was very firm with her words. George remained silent when he heard his wife’s words. He thought more about his daughter’s feelings. “Why do you want me to divorce Ryan, Mom? For the past two years, my life has been fine with Ryan. He understands me very well. He does everything for me. He never even complained about me. Melissa was not satisfied with her daughter’s answer. She was so embarrassed when her father asked Ariana to marry Ryan. But at that time, Melissa could not refuse. Her father had full rights to decide everything. “I don’t understand why you have to keep this toxic marriage. Look at your friends, Ariana. They have a clearer life than you. Aren’t you ashamed? You married a pizza delivery man? You don’t care about our family’s reputation at all!” “You know Grandma won’t allow this divorce. Grandpa had anticipated that Ryan and I should not divorce. “The divorce news is not good for the company’s development at all,” Ariana replied. “I don’t care about all the analysis. I still want you and Ryan to get a divorce. I don’t want you to continue living like this. You and Ryan must be separate.” Melisa’s voice was booming. Ryan, who had just come home from the party, heard Melisa’s request. He clenched his fists after hearing the request.
