Chapter 24
The pain in Quinn’s shoulder was excruciating, but when she finally allowed Jimmy to inspect the wound back at their hotel, she was relieved to hear that it was no more than a flesh wound. The bullet had passed straight through without hitting the bone or any major arteries. That didn’t stop Quinn from complaining though, mostly to Dayton, whom she held responsible, not only for the gunshot wound but also for having lost the statue to Alexander. It irked that the Dove had beaten them again. When Dayton pointed out that they were still alive so this was technically a win, he’d received another punch from Quinn, though this one was a lot less vicious than the one she’d given him at the airport. Neither of them had said anything more about that incident and Jimmy certainly wasn’t
