Chapter Eighteen

3545 Words
I’m trying to write up a report, but I just can’t focus, I look down at my pad several times, tapping the pen against the paper and making random beats. I look at my wristwatch, which I’ve been wearing again since I finally could be bothered to buy a battery for it. I study it, metallic rose gold, studded with little diamonds given to me by grandfather on my mum’s side. Okay just about three minutes till he arrives. I look back at my watch and start counting each of the diamonds individually, one, two, three. But why hasn’t he sent me a message in two weeks? Five, six, seven… And will he really just show up when its been this long? Eight, nine, ten, eleven… Maybe it’s what’s happened between us, twelve, thirteen, fourteen. It really shouldn’t have happened when I truly deep it, this can only end in tragedy. I mean am I even ready for a soul bind? I just realised that I myself am a magical being of some sort, well an Enchantress. How am I even an Enchantress? I mean I guess I’ve always known I was different but not that different. But… “Augh.” My attention is snatched when I see the door open slowly… The moment has finally come and here’s here I know it. I sense it… “Hopefully not feeling fed up with life already are we Lisa-?” The way he spoke always nearly ends me but then the way he says my name is just… Making me burn up inside I froze at the sight of him staring into my eyes leant on the door frame, his voice sounded rich and beautiful, its vibration filled the room with a magnetic energy one that makes me want to touch him. It filled me with joy to hear his voice so much that I was smiling uncontrollably, to my surprise he smiled back. The smile was so wide and beautiful that it caught me off guard. He looked at me grinning and it seemed to be getting wider and wider somehow, I looked down letting out a quick breath of laughter. I looked back up and saw that his smile was gone, and his eyes were cold and sad. We just stood in silence… I trace each individual gem on my watch again with my forefinger, one… Two…Three… “It’s good to see you again, how are you feeling today?” I feel the energy shoot out fresh and ripe, it enriches my voice and entire being. I feel it radiate out of me to greet him; I realise by controlling this energy was not to control it, but flow with it remembering that it is a part of me. I smirk at him. I correct it to a smile. He raises his chin instantly eyes locking into mine with intrigue, he bites his lower lip looking from my lips to my eyes. “It’s always a pleasure to be in your company-, my guilty pleasure.” He leans off of the door frame keeping his eyes on mine, as he shuts the door he bites his bottom lip dragging it over firmly, slowly. He smirks at me; his eyes had an almost mad appeal to them as though they were hungry. I feel my eyebrow twitch and I turn my face quickly to the side; I stare into his pale eyes. “But how are you though? It’s been a while since I last heard from you.” I say it, not able to hide the tone of my voice. I watch his jaw clench, he looks straight ahead, his eyes look down, he slowly raises his face till our eyes meet. “I have everything under control, is that good enough for you?” I lean back slightly irritated in my chair, I feel hostile, frustrated energy trying to merge with mine, but I’ll rise above it. “It’s not about what’s good enough for me, this is about how you feel.” He just stares at me… Not the answer he was expecting. “What? Not the answer you wanted Erin?”  I look at him sternly challenging his gaze with my confident one by not looking away. My energy begins to seep outside of me, it’s intense. I just smirk. Why do you seem so frustrated?! Oh my god just talk to me! In one quick flash Erin has me and the chair  pressed hard against the wall. He nods fast staring into my eyes intensely, as I look at them I see a wild hungry energy in them, always thirsty, always yearning. “Yes.”   I look at him shocked. “You’ve not contacted me in two weeks. What are we doing?”  I look into his cold icy eyes, I look away hurt, I get up abruptly and look towards the window. All at once I’m dragged down and slammed up against the chair. When I open my eyes, Erin has one foot on the chair. His left hand holds the chair firmly in place and his right-hand rests on my shoulder, he caresses it. I just look away. “Don’t walk away from me , tell me how you feel this time.” I feel his eyes on me as he speaks, but I can’t bring myself to look at him or say anything. I feel his hand trail over my collar bone, his fingers slightly pushes into the gap between them. He slides his thumb up my neck lifting my head towards him, his thumb slides over my chin. Our eyes meet, his looks sad and at the same time they look like they yearn for something. ‘please’ I  get up and walk over to the window. “What is it you want from me Erin?”  He remains frozen in the time where I sat in his grasp, looking sexy as hell, I notice his hair has gotten slightly longer as his two main curls drop down to his eyes now. He takes a quiet deep breath and turns his head towards me. “None of this should have happened between us. You know as well as I do that this can’t run. I’m- me and you’re you.” My arms are folded now I tilt my head. “What’s that supposed to mean exactly?” The room feels hot, I feel slightly weak, but I don’t show it. “I can’t hurt you.” He starts walking slowly towards me, he runs his fingers through my hair, spinning the ribbon that holds my hair back in between his fingers. “You’re not someone I can hurt, you’re so.. Too.” He pulls my hair tie towards him which pulls my head closer to his, he gazes deeply into my eyes then to my lips. “Beautiful.” I’m trying my absolute best not to lean into him, although my energy screams to be caressed into his, my body burns up yearning for his touch, his scent, his chemicals. I feel my eyes glowing; I close them. “I feel you fighting it too. I’m sorry I won’t abandon you like that again.” I want to believe him but feeling his static energy is making me feel sick with excitement and fear… “It’s okay. I understand, I don’t want any of this either.” I hadn’t realised I was touching his hand that held my hair tie. I look up deep into his transparent eyes. He just watches my face, nothing needed to be said, we already knew that whatever this was, wasn’t stable for the both of us. Could even end up being dangerous. “I need control, you will get in the way of that.” “I can’t get addicted to you either.” Resisting the energy was like trying to hold yourself when you really need to pee. I just wanted to release and be consumed by all of these feelings, his energy and his touch. I close my eyes for what feels like a second, the next thing I see is I’m resting against Erin’s chest and he holds me firmly in his grasp. My legs have gone weak, my head spins and I feel really hot. When I open my eyes, I see an ocean blue sky, I feel like I’ve woken up from a deep sleep. I feel a cool chest rising and falling gently behind me, I look down seeing a thin coat spread across my legs and someone else’s. I lift my head upwards and see a pair of icy eyes peering down into mine. I feel arms tighten around my waist and stomach… “You passed out. It’s okay your safe, I brought you up here to get some fresh air you were really hot.” He winked at me at the word hot… I lean up quickly and spin round to face him, but it causes a head rush. “Arghhh.” “Chill Lisa, we still have forty minutes left to our session.” He leans onto his knees coming closer to me, I feel strange up here. I see the car park below us and some roads, I see above the trees that lead further into the fields and forests. “You mean I was passed out for what? Fifteen minutes?” “More like ten. You need to relax… Fighting the energy will only use up all of your physical energy and  the strain will cause you to pass out again.” I hold my head squealing quietly… Erin grabs my wrists and starts pulling them away from my head, I feel like I want to explode. “Lisa, Lisa stop fighting it. It’s okay.” He smiles at me slightly laughing..  I open my eyes and see his eyes, “That’s right. Just focus on my eyes and breathe let it go, focus on my eyes Lisa that’s right.” I let go and my whole body flings itself into the air. I’m floating in the wind, hovering over Erin, I feel each spiral of hair come alive I look around me noticing my feet in the air. My dress ripples drenched in my golden energy; I feel my eyes glow. I look at Erin and before I know it the energy has taken over. 3rd narration: To anyone else who saw it, it would have seemed like there was a possessed woman floating on top of a centre’s rooftop. It would look just as crazy as it did. Every fibre of Lisa’s being had awoken, each atom had become filled up with energy and it needed an outlet. She glowed gold like the sun, but the energy was erratic, the vibrations she admitted caused the air around her to hum. Each strand of her curly hair floated around her as though she was floating through a river. Her lips appeared rosier, her skin shone and sparkled, glowing in the sunlight.  Erin watched transfixed by her, he remained on his knees, weak to her will. The Enchantress looked at him, her eyes full of golden light. Erin’s eyes began glowing an icy transparent silver, as soon as their eyes met, it was as though the universe spun them into existence. They crashed into each other, slamming each other against the wall. The vibration of the impact could be felt through the entire building. Their bodies collide with each other, hands, lips, teeth, tongue’s. Arms are grabbed, torso, neck, wrists. The Enchantress giggles whilst they spin up in the air frantic for more and more of each other. Her smile catches him off guard, he’s taken aback at how perfect it is. Then lips collide, hands grab waist, hair, thighs, clothes. The Immortal transfixed, stares at his Enchantress as his hands wander up her body her dress rides further up, he runs his tongue hungrily over his two-pointed fangs. Lisa smirks, and with one deft movement she spins herself out of his grip. She laughs mischievously as Erin flies towards the floor.  He spirals downwards, the Enchantress tilts her head with intrigue, he poises his flip so that he’ll land perfectly on his feet. He daringly looks up into the Enchantress’ eyes as he does, tilting his head side to side before locking on to his target. He smirks launching himself forward with quick force. They collide with each other flipping through the air wildly. The Enchantress laughs, then hauls all her energy back at him. Spin the opposite direction back towards the centre at speeds fast and dangerous. Erin looks at the Enchantress’ wild eyes, the Enchantress laughs looking ahead at the crash to come.   ‘Girl you’re crazy you know that?’ Erin pulls Lisa into him, he thrusts the both of them in the air flipping backwards, sidewards, upwards every which way. It makes Lisa feel sick. It would have been a sight to see from below, two people flipping through the sky at crazy speeds towards a building. Erin’s feet hit the ground and he glides across the rooftop; the friction causes smoke to emerge from his feet. He holds Lisa bridal style, Lisa bites and sucks into his neck, grinning whilst she does it. Erin growls  out loud sending all of his frustrated energy into his feet, he glides left to a slow halt. There is a large, dark semi-circle stain left on the rooftop. “You’re literal danger Lisa.” He smirks looking back and forth between her lips and eyes. “You’re literally a bad influence on me… You make me wan-“ She bites her bottom lip firmly, the glow dying down. “I make you want to what?” Erin says deeply in her ear. Lisa smiles into his ear then pulls away, getting herself down from his hold on her. “You’d rather it took that kind of dangerous turn then a different dangerous turn?”  She asks tilting her head to the side and smirking daringly at him. Erin smirks leaning his hand on the wall by Lisa’s head and closing the space between them. “You’re right, I would have torn these clothes apart shredding them into dust. Then I would have pierced into your golden skin to taste that raw energy.” She places her finger to his lips; she couldn’t hear it… It’d send her into another overdrive. “The universe really slapped me round the face this time. I had never intended to come here if it wasn’t for getting at my sister for involving herself in my life. I had planned on seducing my therapist just to spite Marea, I didn’t plan on having a soul connection like this. It wasn’t supposed to happen again, it only happens once in a lifetime. This is the strongest connection I’ve ever felt with anyone, Lisa you’ve enchanted me.” “What can we do?” “Find a way to undo it.” She nod. “Lisa I just can’t go through with this.” There was genuine fear in his rich voice, and it alarmed her because she knew he was right. He wasn’t strong enough; he was far too broken. Lisa was new to the truth. She looks deeply into his icy eyes .“Then we’ll find a way to undo this.” Lisa’s Pov: He looks deep into my eyes, I watch his lips part, his eyes flicker between mine. Watching his pupils was like watching a dark inky void expand into an icy ocean. I was drawn to the cupid’s bow that formed his rosy top lip, I got the urge to bite and suck on it, then I looked at his smooth bottom lip and I had to look away. He holds my chin turning my face back to his, I’m suddenly aware of the time and place. He’s been holding me for what feels like ages, but his arms feel firm around me, I remember the time I saw him without clothes, my eyes widen… “Erin, how did you get us up here?” He smiles, his eyes lids close slightly and he gives me a wide smirk. “Let me show you.” He hands me his long, thin black coat. He keeps his eyes locked onto mine and that sexy smirk whilst he begins to unbutton his black shirt. I take a deep breath and try not to react in anyway… What is he doing. I watch as he makes his way down his chest, button by button, revealing every inch of his soft creamy skin. The sun hits his skin causing a slight golden glow, row by row the definition of his chest is revealed. The energy begins to seep out of me,  so I envision it going to my heart, it causes my heart to beat rapidly. He hands me his shirt, I take it. He raises his chin and takes a deep breath, I feel his static energy turn cooler, it permeates through me, and it makes the energy rumble inside me with delight. He blinks a few times, and his eyes turn white.  His body lurches upwards and I hear something tear through him and cut through the air. He breathes in sharply and I hear a ‘shkkkkkkshhhhh’.  He looks so beautiful… Dark blue, black, white and grey feathers fall all around us. I am encased in the shadow of his two big wings… As he breathes his wings shudder and float in the wind. He smiles at me, breathing out satisfied with my gaping mouth and big-eyed reaction. I get up slowly and walk towards him. “Did it hurt?” “Like hell, every time.” I hear the strain in his voice. “Can I?” He winks at me. “Go ahead.” I give him my biggest grin; it couldn’t be helped this is so cool. He turns around carefully as to not knock me over with his large wings. They felt as beautiful as they looked, they felt like silk and satin had a baby and each feather was an ombre of colours. A small black and blue one landed on my shoulder so I quickly slip it in my bra... I stroke his right wing, running my fingers through the feathers is so satisfying. I run my hands in both, I running them slowly all the way down until I touch skin. The skin around the opening was red and sore, it was already healing. I very slowly and carefully touch it, Erin lets out a loud sigh, he turns his head towards his shoulder his eyes flicker up to meet mine. “Oh god, sorry. Did that hurt?” “It’s relieving at the same time.” “Oh wow, it heals as soon as I touch it.”  I gently stroke around the exit points, Erin groans, his eye flash and flicker white. The energy inside me burns with delight, it shoots through my gut and crashes out through my fingertips, it feels like hot waves energy pouring and purring out of my fingertips. Erin groans become more and more relaxed; his head leans back slightly with each touch. His skin turns extremely cold underneath my fingertips, I pull away.  “Ow.” I watch small streaks of cold icy webs shoot and spread across his back. “Ahh, thanks to your healing touch my back healed so much faster.” He turns around slowly, his eyes relax, he rolls his head around his shoulders keeping his eyes on mine and I swear my heart nearly beats itself out of existence. I don’t even get the chance to respond before I’m swept off of my feet and flung into the air I clutch his clothes to my chest, but before I can scream, his hand is over my mouth. He laughs quietly in my ear. My eyes are wide, and what’s worse I can feel his chest pressed up against me, his smooth skin, the bumps of muscle, the taste… the feel of it pressed firmly against my tongue would be so… Oh my god SNAP OUT OF IT LISA.  He places me through my office window and slowly crawls through it himself. He closes his eyes putting his head down, I stare at his chest, so smooth and perfect. His wings slowly get dragged back into his back. He suddenly opens his eyes. “What were you thinking whilst you were in the air?” I feel my cheeks redden…. “Woah now you have to tell me what you were thinking.” I shake my head handing him his shirt, I go to turn away, but I am immediately dragged back to him, around my waist is his shirt and I’ve been forced up against his bare chest. “Erin, it is office hours, it is professional hours now. Not to mention my next client should be with me in the next three minutes.” He smirks at me looking down at my lips, part of his teeth can be seen in the way he smirks, the way they look so porcelain white never ceases to phase me. He leans into my ear and says “That’s fine. I was only gonna say I saw exactly what went through your mind, I just wanted to hear you say it, if only you were brave enough to say it.” I shake my head looking at him, I’ve got the biggest smirk of disbelief in he’s bluffing. “I’ve got only three more buttons left, you sure you don’t want to feel me quickly- Come on I’ll let you … Taste me.” He gives me a devilish grin… Right that’s it. I muster the energy and send it flying through my body sending me into him with full force, we slam hard against my cabinet, I hear everything rock and fall inside. I have him pinned up against it, my forearm rests firmly on his upper chest. “You really need to leave.” I see his eyes examining my body hungrily, playfully. I can see in the reflection of his icy eyes that mine are glowing gold. “Now Erin, don’t play with me now that can wait.”
