Liam's POV
"Ugh, we have finally arrived!" Elijah shouted as we got out of the car.
"You drove like a turtle, Elijah. You really suck!" I smacked his head while massaging my aching back. Elijah then looked at me with disbelief.
"What do you expect from me? I'm not a road racer!" He replied while rubbing his head.
"Besides, I have a driver, and obviously he drives for me whenever I have somewhere to get to, so I don't bother about getting better at driving. Duh!" He replied, then rolled his eyes.
This motherfucker really has the nerve to brag about his life every single time. He's really annoying.
"Psh, stop showing off Elijah, just admit that you just suck at everything you do. Haha!" I laughed mockingly as I walked past him and went to the resort.
"How dare you Liam, you should be thanking me for driving instead of making fun of me!" He replied, following me to the resort.
I just ignored him and walked straight, not even bothering to listen to his nonsense.
"This guy, my handsome face, doesn't deserve this kind of treatment." Elijah whined while keeping a low voice.
As we went through the entrance, a young lady, probably in her 20's, greeted us. She then led us to the lobby of the resort.
"Hello Sir, do we have any reservations?" The front desk lady greeted us, then asked. Elijah then went to take care of the rooms that we would stay in in the meantime.
While Elijah was chatting with the resort staff, I took my time to roam and see the resort.
The place was really big yet peaceful. The front part of the resort was where the pool and the bar are located. Then the hotels that we would be sleeping in are at the very back part of this place. It's a little dark and cold since it's in the middle of a forest and the trees covering the place are huge. Elijah wasn't kidding when he said this place is relaxing.
I slowly walked the paved path appreciating the beauty of the place, the trees dancing with the wind, birds chirping that sounded like music to my ear, when suddenly, I felt my bladder kick. Oh f**k.
Yeah, I need to use the bathroom. If I don't hurry I might piss my pants.
I ran through the hallway searching for the damn restroom.
Where the hell is the restroom?
I looked through the bushes and guess what? There it was, the f*****g restroom.
Gosh. Who the hell puts a f*****g restroom behind some big bushes? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Ah, that took time." I exclaimed, shivering, feeling refreshed after taking a pee.
I was going out of the cubicle when I smelled an eerie yet fragrant smell.
I slowly walked to the door, opened it to check if there was someone in there other than me.
The smell was really sweet and it felt cold when it hit my nose.
The scent was familiar. I feel like I came across this scent once, but I don't remember when or where it was.
I don't know why, but suddenly I took steps and all I know is I was following that sweet scent.
I continued walking 'till I reached a much darker part of the place.
The wind was colder too and I didn't see any lights anywhere.
I immediately got chills when I heard rustling somewhere in front of me.
I swiftly hid in the nearest bush.
It was very dark. I tried to narrow my eyes, expecting to see a bit more in this complete darkness with just the moon as the source of little light.
As I was focusing my gaze on nowhere, I saw a standing silhouette ahead of me.
It was a man's shadow.
A big and tall man, I think.
He was holding a cigarette as it appeared to be his shadow.
As I stared at his shadow, I smelt the strong scent that I was supposed to be following. Yet this time, it was stronger.
It can't be this man's perfume as it looks like the scent does not suit his taste.
I may sound stereotypical, but that is what I see.
I quickly changed my mind when the man started walking towards where I was hiding. As he got nearer, the scent became stronger and stronger. It became sweeter and sweeter, it made my head spin.
My body started heating up, shaking.
Maybe because I am scared of being found knowing I'd be dead, or maybe because this dude's perfume is so strong, my body's acting up.
The sound of his steps got closer and louder.
I held my breath thinking this would save me from meeting Satan early.
No, if I get killed right now, I'm definitely going to burn in hell, I'm a sinner. Yes I am, well at least I'm self-aware.
Oh God please help my ass out here.
The thuds created by this man's feet echoed in my ears, it sounded heavy.
Does this guy know someone is spying on him?
I didn't even see his face nor his body, only his shadow, yet from the looks of it, seemed like this guy would surely bite my head off.
I snapped back to reality when I realized that this thing that was settling between my legs was getting hard on and my body was burning. Oh, what's the thing you ask? My d**k.
Why is my body reacting?
"What the f**k? This isn't the time to be horny stupid." I whispered to myself as I smacked my leg trying to calm my body down.
I guess my low voice wasn't low enough, the steps stopped right behind where I was hiding.
"Who was that?" He's deep and baritone voice echoed around the empty space.
I covered my mouth with my left hand to prevent unnecessary noises coming out again.
I know this guy heard me, but I'll just pretend I'm not here.
"Come on now, are you dumb? What's the point of hiding when I know you're behind that bush?" He groaned, pretty much annoyed that I was wasting his time trying to play hide-and-seek.
I sat still, pretending I didn't hear anything this dude was saying.
"It's either you come out of that bush or you continue with that dumb act and wait till I lose my patience with you." He said, now very serious.
His voice sent a shiver down my spine. But nothing's gonna make me get the f**k out of here. I'm a coward, I know. Better die trying to save your ass than just let this goddamn dude kill you easily.
I'll just piss him off a bit.
"Now, I guess you chose the hard way. I'll come get you then."
I watched his shadow as it slowly approached me. His slow steps tell me I should run, yet my mind keeps saying I should stay and see for myself what he looks like.
I don't know what I feel right now. I feel scared and thrilled at the same. Am I crazy? Yes, definitely. Have I lost my mind? Uh-huh, for a long time now.
Did this guy do something to make me react like that? I really am crazy.
I recovered from my unusual thoughts when I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder.
He bent down and closed the distance between our bodies, his mouth near my ear.
"Gotcha." He whispered huskily.
