Chapter 142 The Emergence of the Dark Dragon

Linsa was truly an adorable little gem, someone you couldn’t help but feel tenderly for. Her mix of innocence and passion almost melted me completely. Perhaps because she was the offspring of the Supreme God King and Lucifer before his power transformation, her power level, while not as immense as Feathered Robe’s, surpassed hers in terms of purity and quality. In fact, it was nearly on par with that of the Supreme God King herself. As a result, when we fully opened ourselves to each other, the sheer purity of her power had an overwhelming impact on me. With a cry brimming with uncontainable joy, Linsa wrapped her delicate arms and legs around me like an octopus, her entire body trembling violently. It was evident she was experiencing an all-consuming wave of ecstasy. Her pure, untainted maiden essence flowed forth in torrents, and my god-and-demon-forged body instinctively absorbed every last drop of this invaluable energy. The pure light energy within it coursed through my meridians like a gentle stream, but wherever this stream passed, my meridians quivered uncontrollably, bringing me excruciating pain. Yet, the changes in my body didn’t stop there. When Linsa’s exceptionally pure energy finally fused completely with mine, and the trembling of my meridians subsided, I suddenly felt as if my soul had shattered. Fragment by fragment, my soul seemed to break away from my body, enveloping me and slowly floating upward. I tried to struggle, but to my horror, I realized I couldn’t even move a single finger. “Master, we’ve finally reconnected with you.” A fragment of my soul suddenly transmitted a message to my mind—it was… it was Lailei Worm’s voice! “What… what is going on? I thought you all were gone forever. I can’t believe you’re still here… this is incredible.” “Master, please don’t worry. We wouldn’t disappear so easily. However, due to the extreme depletion of our soul energy, we had no choice but to merge into your soul and enter a state of dormancy. Just now, an extraordinarily pure external force awakened us from our slumber.” “Can you recover? Why are you restraining me in this energy form now?” “The truth is… Master, the truth is that we no longer truly exist. The moment our souls broke through the dimensional barrier to reach you, our physical forms in the alternate dimension were reduced to dust and vanished completely. All that remains of us now is our soul energy.” “How… how can this be? This is my fault. Is there any way I can help you? Is there anything I can do?” “Master, you don’t need to worry about us. Though our physical bodies are gone, our souls have already merged with yours. If you wish, you can recreate us as pure energy bodies, just like Miss Feathered Robe. Moreover, since we are now pure energy forms, the six of us can undergo a deeper energy fusion. The result will surely be a great surprise for you. However, our current energy strength alone is insufficient for such a deep-level fusion, so we must rely on your power. We hope you’ll understand, Master.” I fell silent and said nothing, simply forcing my magic outward to transfer it to Lailei Worm and the others. The six invisible and intangible souls of the holy beasts, upon receiving my magic infusion, transformed into six brightly colored light ribbons that wrapped tightly around my body. Tremendous waves of energy rippled between them. The energy required for the holy beasts’ fusion was truly enormous. Even with my seemingly infinite magic, I felt dizzy, my vision blurred, and sweat poured down my body as I pushed my power to its limits. The discomfort was indescribable. At that moment, Aya’s graceful figure suddenly entered the room. In the midst of this critical process, I couldn’t communicate with her, so I silently prayed she wouldn’t intervene out of concern. Aya, ever the intelligent and perceptive one, seemed to read my intentions. Although unable to communicate directly with me, she discerned from my expression that something significant was happening. In a flash, she positioned herself protectively at the door without disturbing me. The six-colored souls of Lailei Worm and the others gradually faded, their hues blending together until no distinctions remained. Ultimately, they fused into a single, unified black glow that enveloped my body. The black glow flashed briefly before vanishing. I felt an overwhelming wave of fatigue, my entire body weak and drained. Instinctively, I raised my arm to wipe the sweat from my face, only to find, to my astonishment, that my arm was encased in a black bracer. To my further surprise, my body was clad in a strange black armor. Curious, I conjured a sheet of cold air to form a gleaming ice mirror before me. Aya, equally astonished, darted over from the doorway, her beautiful eyes wide with amazement as they focused intently on me. I looked into the ice mirror. Reflected within was my form, now clad in a deep, jet-black full-body swordsman’s armor. A long, stripe-like pattern extended from the legs to the shoulders, forming the unmistakable image of Lailei Worm in its majestic, soaring glory. The armor’s shoulder guards were particularly striking—one side bore the silver-white visage of a wolf’s head, while the other displayed a deep blue dragon’s head, representing the forms of Daozi and Lanpi, respectively. I stood there, staring at my reflection in stunned silence. At that moment, a clear, resonant voice suddenly echoed in my mind: “Dark Dragon greets you, Master!” Startled, I asked, “Who are you?” The clear voice responded, “I am the collective soul of the six holy beasts and the spirit of the armor you now wear. Since my primary essence comes from the Hell Black Dragon, my name is Dark Dragon, and the armor I form is called the ‘Dark Dragon Armor.’” “Dark Dragon Armor…” I murmured softly, “Dark Dragon, how exactly was this ‘Dark Dragon Armor’ formed, and what are its capabilities?” Dark Dragon replied, “‘Dark Dragon Armor’ is a materialized form of my being as a soul energy entity. The souls of the six holy beasts that comprise me can, at any time, separate from me upon your command and transform into distinct entities. As for my abilities…” A pair of fiery crimson wings formed entirely of flames extended from the back of the “Dark Dragon Armor,” radiating an intense heat wave that prompted Aya to summon her own power to resist the scorching heat. The blazing wings flared briefly before retracting. Dark Dragon explained, “These are the ‘Phoenix Wings of Rebirth,’ formed from the soul energy of the Fire Phoenix, Zhazhah Bird. They can extend independently or integrate with your own wings. These wings possess extraordinary healing powers—no matter how severe the injuries, a mere touch of their flames can heal them instantly, akin to the rebirth of a phoenix rising from the ashes. This healing ability also applies to the ‘Dark Dragon Armor’ itself.” Suddenly, a yellow glow emanated from the bracer on my left arm. In an instant, the glow transformed into a massive yellow shield almost as tall as I was, bearing the imposing image of Earth Bear Lazy, symbolizing raw strength and majesty. Dark Dragon continued, “This is the ‘Bear King’s Shield,’ unparalleled in durability and utterly indestructible. It offers extreme resistance to all forms of magic, including light and dark elements, making it the strongest shield across the three realms of humans, gods, and demons. You can expand or retract it freely at will, integrating it seamlessly back into the armor when not needed without hindering your movements in the slightest.” Next, the area around my right elbow began to transform. With a sharp click, a meter-long, slightly curved, razor-sharp spike shot backward from the edge of the elbow guard. The spike crackled with blue electricity, accompanied by a constant zap of high-voltage currents. “‘Thunder Fang of the Lightning Beast,’ formed from the soul energy of the Thunder Beast, Daigua. It is a pure elemental construct of lightning, containing millions of volts of ultra-high voltage. It embodies the essence of all the Thunder Beast’s power, capable of reducing any substance to ashes in an instant.” After calmly introducing the terrifying power of the “Thunder Fang,” the lightning spike retracted into the bracer. Dark Dragon resumed, “Now I will explain the components of the armor derived from the Silver Magic Wolf, Daozi, and the Deep Sea Dragon, Lanpi.” The delicately crafted wolf and dragon heads that adorned the armor’s left and right shoulder plates opened their mouths slightly, though nothing unusual occurred. Dark Dragon elaborated, “They can release highly compressed elemental energy blasts—‘Wolf Fang Cannon’ for wind and ‘Dragon Roar Wave’ for water. Both possess immense destructive power, capable of piercing through anything. Additionally, they can be fired in rapid succession, making them formidable weapons for close combat.” At this point, Dark Dragon paused briefly before continuing, “Finally, let me introduce my main body—the ‘Dark Dragon Armor.’ It is composed entirely of materialized dark energy, similar in structure to the ‘Divine Guardian’ of the God of Gods. Moreover, it significantly enhances the speed and power of your dark magic. As the core of the ‘Dark Dragon Armor,’ it serves as the command center for the other five components, relaying and executing your orders. The ‘Phoenix Wings of Rebirth,’ ‘Bear King’s Shield,’ ‘Wolf Fang Cannon,’ ‘Dragon Roar Wave,’ ‘Thunder Fang,’ and ‘Dark Dragon Armor’ together form the ultimate armor ever created in history. Master, Dark Dragon awaits your orders.” The overwhelming shock brought by the “Dark Dragon Armor” left me unusually calm. I said faintly, “Hide yourself for now. I’ll summon you when I need you.” Dark Dragon replied, “Yes, Master,” and the “Dark Dragon Armor” immediately reverted into its soul energy form, disappearing into my body. Aya, who had been silently standing nearby, not daring to even breathe too loudly, finally let out a long sigh of relief. She couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement, “This ‘Dark Dragon Armor’ is truly terrifying. It integrates offense, defense, and recovery into one. Compared to it, your previous ‘Heart Armor’ and Father’s ‘Dark Abyss Armor’ seem like mere children’s toys. Even the ‘Divine Guardian’ of the God of Gods would struggle to compete with it, especially now that the ‘Divine Guardian’ has been destroyed…” I interrupted her in a calm, steady tone, “The ‘Divine Guardian’ is nothing. No matter how strong it is, it’s just a lifeless object. My ‘Dark Dragon Armor,’ on the other hand, is the ultimate sacrifice of Raileilei and the others, who gave their everything to entrust it to me. There is nothing in existence that can compare to it!” Though my voice remained calm, two streams of tears uncontrollably rolled down my cheeks, shattering into tiny droplets on the solid floor. Aya, understanding the emotions in my heart, gently nestled into my arms and said softly, “Since the six sacred beasts have become Dark Dragon, does that mean Raileilei, Zhazhah Bird, and the others have disappeared?” “No, they haven’t disappeared!” I explained to Aya, sharing the information I had just received from Dark Dragon. “Dark Dragon is a unified consciousness born from the fusion of the six sacred beasts’ souls. By providing the appropriate elemental energy, I can separate any one of them from Dark Dragon in a materialized form. Their power and appearance will be just as they were before.” Then, with a sudden change in demeanor, I cast off the solemn, sorrowful expression I’d just worn. In an instant, it vanished, replaced by a mischievous, wicked smile. “Aya, it’s been a long time since we’ve had some time alone. It’s rare to get such an opportunity…” Aya was momentarily stunned by my sudden and unpredictable shift, but soon, her exquisitely beautiful face, delicate and radiant, was adorned with a blush as lovely as the evening glow of the western skies. Her enchanting eyes darted quickly toward Linsa, who was still fast asleep on the bed, and she whispered shyly, “Is this appropriate? Sister is here too. If she wakes up and sees this, it would be so embarrassing…” Despite her words, a faint sparkle of anticipation danced in her eyes, like a playful kitten curious yet hesitant to pounce. Her little feminine hesitation didn’t escape my notice. In a flash, I whisked Aya into my arms and carried her to the bed with lightning speed. Her delicate figure, soft as silk, surrendered willingly to my embrace, though she continued to glance nervously at the sleeping Linsa. As I began to untie her dress, I whispered softly, “As long as we’re careful, it won’t be an issue. Just make sure not to get too loud.” Aya’s face flushed a deeper red as she playfully tapped me with her small fists, her gentle protest mingling with her eager compliance. Her movements grew more cooperative, her graceful body twisting slightly to match my every touch. In this humble little room, with the princesses of both the celestial and demonic realms lying together on the same bed, I couldn’t help but marvel at my fortune. I, Wu Lai, am surely the luckiest man alive. With this, I can say my life is complete.
