“All are set, we need to move now.” Tristan felt the nervousness that was attacking on to Rain. He felt the pressure that was pressing her towards where she was standing. Of course, he understand how she felt, and perhaps everyone of them has to understand what she was feeling. She is the leader of this escape plan; she is the first one who had planned everything. That is why, it was inevitable for her to feel pressured and to get frozen joints all over her body—because one wrong move, and this plan may fail. Once this fails, the blame was on her. But honestly for Tristan, this is a matter of life and death. Given that this place is a highly secured area, full of cameras, traps, and highly-advanced technologies, the possibility that they would be able to escape away from being a prisoner here is lesser than the possibility that they would not. However, all of them has silently and mentally agreed that if this may fail, at least they would not have the regret of not trying at all. Rain looked at Tristan. Having shared some few connections with each other, Rain nodded at him. Surprisingly, he understood what she was trying to imply: that she trusts him, and that she relies on him. He will be her stronghold, her backbone, whenever she would feel tired or afraid. He would be the source of trust for this plan to be true and set in reality. Tristan, being the man who never turn back to someone who needed help, also nodded at her, mentally telling that he could be relied on. He could be his refuge. “The curfew smoke has now been activated, everyone,” said Blaze, “now we have no choice but to continue this plan that we have. We could not go back to our own quarters.” No one has replied to him, but their focused expressions and auras of alert tells differently. Silently, they pulled their bags, and tucked it on their back, carefully, even though their thoughts are filled with a lot of what ifs. “Honestly, I feel afraid,” Tammy, out of nowhere, has said. “B—But I know I am not just the only one who f—felt the same way. That is why, I w—want to tell you guys how badly I appreciate your courage.” “Awee, you are one courageous feline too, Tammy. You should take note of that,” Amara told, comforting Tammy. “Th—Thanks,” replied Tammy. Out of nowhere, however, her tears bursted in her eyes. She started wiping her tears and forced herself to stop the pearl of tears away, but she could not. A lot of emotions has mixed in to her, causing her to have the breakdown. Everyone understood what Tammy was currently feeling. Everyone of them has different level of tolerance of emotions. Everyone of them has different length of ropes. They have different was on how to handle every feelings that was cluttered in their chests. Timmy hugged her twin and made a “shhh” sound, eager to comfort her unsteady twin. Seven on the other hand, was gently caressing Tammy’s back, so that she would feel comfort as she cries. With that, they waited for Tammy to finally calm down. Around a minute later, she was finally able to control herself once again. “S—Sorry for that,” she said, “I—I made you wait and deal with my problematic self.” “It’s okay, Tammy. And you’re not problematic,” Rain replied. From that, Tammy has finally calmed herself. She now stood up from her sits and cries, and then postured herself that she was eager to do this final escape. Seeing that expression from her, Rain said, “let’s go.” Together, the eight of them has started their journey into the grave of the darkness. Rain was the one leading the group. She was at the front of their line, followed by Tristan. Dexterously, they were avoiding the part where CCTV cameras could spot them. Because it was not their first time in entering this place, they have easily moved towards where the camera’s blind spots where. Blaze, who was at the last part of the line, was familiar of the place as well, and he was guiding and instructing those members of them who were still new in what they were doing. Suddenly, Rain has stopped on a certain spot. Tristan was confused by it . “What’s the problem, Rain?” he asked. “I forgot to tell you,” she started answering. She looked at him, and said, “Blaze told me that those CCTV cameras could be stopped long as the main wire that connects them were cut. Luckily, when we came in here with Blaze, we discovered the main line.” “That is why you were able to stroll this place last time?” he added. Rain nodded as she smiled, and then continued tinkering on the spot she had stopped on. Seconds after, Rain removed a small part on the wall: a cover. From that, it revealed series of complex wires that was running in an impossible to analyze setup.” “Where was the main line for the CCTVs?” Tristan asked. “That seems impossible to find in that pool of other wires.” “Here,” Rain pointed. Among those wires there is a single piece which was damaged, and is covered with something, like that of a plastic. “Blaze has knowledge in analyzing diagrams and connections like this one. In just a second, he identifies it with ease. Since we have to stroll this place freely, we cut the wire. The n, when we’re done, we decided to connect the wire once again, and mark it with a cover that can insulate the connection, to avoid short circuit. And that is why we can easily find the main connection of the CTTVs. Because there is a mark.” Without any hesitation, rain cut the wires that has a mark. Instantly, the sound of caeras that are shutting down has echoed in the whole surrounding. When Rain was done, she said, “I bet we won’t be able to repair it back anymore. This is our last night to this place. We can escape.” Tristan smiled encouragingly. “We will.” Rain now looked at their members who are still waiting at their back. “Is everything alright, guys?” Amara asked. “I am having a muscle cramps here by maintaining my posture to avoid the cameras. Ouch my leg hurts.” Rain has chuckled from it. “We can now move freely. You don’t have to balance yourself anymore. The cameras were already shut down.” There was a sigh of relief that has escaped from the group. “Thank goodness. I never thought that escaping could be this tiring,” Timmy said. “By the way guys, want some snacks?” They continued their walks. While Timmy and the others are enjoying the food they have packed, Rain, Tristan, and even Blaze were busy finding the ways through the complex dark corridor. They have even turned on a small flashlight so that there will be added light, aside from the peculiar small lights in the ceiling, and those maybe customized flickering bulbs every turning blocks, like that in a horror movie. Rain and Blaze, when they scanned through this place, have done their best to memorize the exact same path they have taken in order to find the hidden exit door. However, because it was very complex, they are finding it hard to recall those paths. Until, after turning onto another block, something from the middle of the alley was there. “Hey, I thought this place was just pure alleys and darkness. What was that?” Seven asked in representation to the confusion of the others. “That was the Principal’s laboratory,” Blaze answered. “Heinous laboratory. Maybe we can even call it a slaughter house,” added Tristan. “Wh—What? A s—slaughter house? Are there … are there murdered people there?” Timmy anxiously asked, but she has received no answer. Everyone was feeling fear. “We have to be careful,” Rain said, “someone was inside the laboratory.”
