Logan allowed his gaze to linger on Philip and Jonathan, knowing they were likely the ones who would challenge him the most. “I believe this is the best way forward,” Logan added, his voice final. The room burst into inaudible murmurs, most of the board members consulting the other on their view about Logan's proposal; he stood silently, watching Jonathan and Philip’s reaction; they didn't seem too pleased with the whole idea, but Logan had talked and the majority of the board is on his side. Making Logan sell part of his shares was a step forward, Logan forcing them to do the same was a step backward. It was a difficult situation but they had to comply. Logan's gaze remained steady and void of emotions, he looked around the room, reading the emotions on the faces of every board member.
