Sophia wriggled her wrist free from Logan's grip. “I've had enough, Logan. If you plan on remaining silent, then I am out of here.” Sophia's voice wavered with frustration, but her determination was palpable. She turned on her heel and began descending the stairs, heading downstairs, her footsteps were fast, echoing sharply in the silence of the night.
Logan stood still for a second, his mind thrummed fast as he tried to fully make sense of Sophia's words. “Alright, where are you now?” He called after her, the confusion obvious in his voice as he quickly went after her, his long strides still not quick enough to catch up with her.
