Fighting Cade isn't how I thought this day would end, but it seems life is full of surprises.
He's a surprisingly skilled fighter. The last time I saw him, he was a ratty sixteen-year-old who couldn't pick up a weapon to save his life. He was strange, Cade, and never really wanted to interact with anyone. But he was a good kid, and I'm sure that if Soren Cimmerian hadn't entered his life, he'd never have betrayed his own sister the way he did.
"You shouldn't have come here!" he snarls. "I don't know what you're trying to accomplish, but it's not going to work!"
"Don't get all tough on me now!" I retort before pushing him back, causing his step to falter and sending him reeling backward. "I know what you are. I can smell your cowardice. Where's Emmalee? I won't ask again."
