I run and run through the woods, tirelessly at first before exhaustion permeates every bone in my body and slows me down.
Panting, I keep pushing myself. It's not safe to stop now. I've lost all sense of direction by now. I'm just running straight ahead, hoping I can see a road up ahead or anything, really. It would be wonderful to come across someone who would direct me back to town.
I have to make it to White Mane. My people will help me, I'm sure they will.
But the longer I'm on the run, the quicker my hopes of making it there by today shatter. The sun has already set and the woods are pitch-black. The sky is moonless. I can still see, but I don't have much experience navigating the woods at this time.
