Lyn's POV Abel's question hung in the air, piercing my conscience. I was consumed by regret and self-reproach, my mind replaying the scene where I had rashly ordered him out of the room. I couldn't believe my behavior towards the kind and gentle heir to Christopher's Empires. My jealousy had gotten the better of me, and I had unjustly suspected him. The shame and guilt I felt were overwhelming. I had been so wrong to doubt his intentions, especially after all he had done for me. Caring for me, watching over me like a baby, and even sacrificing his comfort to sleep on the sofa beside me. He had shown me nothing but kindness and compassion, and I had repaid him with unnecessary suspicion and anger. I was deeply sorry for my actions, and I knew I had to make amends, even if it meant humbling
