The moment her mood switched, I knew the matter I was trying to prolong must be the cause. At first, I wanted to ask if it was Ella's issue. However, I decided to get it out of her mouth by asking why her mood switched all of a sudden. Then her question came, "Tell me, how do you relate to Nurse Ella?".
Damn, I knew seventy percent of what I was going to drop would be false. I would have prefer to give her the answer immediately but I couldn't bring myself to do that due to fear of the unknown. First, I pretended not to be acquainted with what she was talking about. So I responded with a question,
"Nurse Ella? Who is Nurse Ella? I stared at her and waited for an answer while she stared in confusion. I asked again, "Baby, who is Nurse Ella?".
