Chapter 23Sabel. Home. The planet loomed on the viewscreen of the Vengeful Glory, washed in the light of the system’s star. So long since they’d been here it hurt their heart. Arien had never been away from home for so long before.
But their way to the planet was blocked. Arien’s fleet had come out of hyperspace a couple of days ago. They hadn’t approached Sabel at once. Queza had suggested sending recon ships ahead—and Stanten volunteered the Harriet to go in undercover all the way to the planet. She’d taken a long diversion away from the fleet, and approached Sabel as merely a passing trader. Her ship hadn’t even been challenged. She stopped off at an orbital station, then returned to the fleet with the latest news.
