I had kept my eyes closed as I was carried to my room. All I wanted was to pass out, go to sleep and pretend that none of this was happening, and as soon as my head hit the pillow that’s exactly what I did. I woke up feeling confused and disorientated, not used to this unfamiliar room. Someone had undressed me, leaving me naked but I was thankfully in bed alone. I stared up at the ceiling, feeling numb. Nothing mattered anymore, not now Caleb had left me.  My whole body ached; my muscles were sore and my bones throbbed. I ran my tongue across my teeth, my canines still felt longer and sharper than usual, which made me worry that other parts of me may not quite look as normal as it should. I nervously lifted up the sheets looking down at my body. Everything looked normal and very human.
