I ended up crying myself to sleep. I pried my heavy eyes open to the unfamiliar room feeling disorientated and groggy, my limbs felt like lead weights and I struggled to get myself upright, giving up and  rolling onto my back to stare up at the ceiling instead. The room was gloomier, long shadows creeping up the walls and I turned my head to the side to look at the barred window of my prison. There wasn’t much of a view, it looked like they had put me in the room overlooking the barracks, so all that could be seen were the small squat buildings and the mesh fencing and barbed wire, as if this place couldn’t be any more depressing. I heard a soft tap on the door and a young girls voice call out. “Dinners in an hour, someone will come and collect you and take you down.” I didn’t even res
