Sunlight streamed through a gap in the curtains, hitting my face causing me to scrunch up my eyes even tighter. My head was pounding, a relentless steady beat drumming in my head, my tongue felt furry and I thought I was going to throw up. This must be what a hangover feels like, why would anyone drink if it left you feeling like this? My memories of the night before were patchy at best, I remembered being given a drink and then going dancing with Ruby, after that things got really blurry. I tried to pull the covers over my head in an attempt to block out the sun but something prevented me from moving them.
