Chapter 2

Its been 3 months since I saw Daniel, I’m 4 months pregnant, and I’m horny as f**k. I’ve slowly gotten myself by, by focusing on my work, but its hard. Some days, I’m straight up sad and missing him. But most days, most days I’m horny and then I become angry that I’m horny and he is not here to f**k me silly.

A month ago, I had made the decision to know the s*x of the baby. My family and friends weren’t happy about that. Hell, my family wasn’t even happy about not know who the father was. I knew not to tell my dad or my brothers who the father was, lest I wanted Daniel to be six feet under. My sisters weren’t too far from those actions, but they rather spend more time throwing snide remarks at me instead of supporting me. My mother, although originally mad, has been the only family member in my corner and the only one I’m speaking to at the moment. In fact, she is the only person, family or friend, that knows who the father is and the work he does. One day, when I was having an emotional moment, she made a joke at looking up one of his movies and me hitting the jackpot in the d**k department. It was the first time I laughed, peed my pants, and then cried because I peed my pants.

Tonight, I’m spending another night inside. It was either this or going to my mother’s for the Cousin’s Game Night. The family here in the bay are holding the family reunion this year and Hell would freeze over before I go to an event pregnant and one of my siblings or cousins say anything about it. My tolerance for people’s disrespectful mouths were getting smaller by the minute.

I’m sitting on my couch in cotton shorts and a tank top and a tub of ice cream in my lap. I don’t know how, but I end up on the AVN Awards. Ironically enough, a small recap of the awards Daniel has won tonight is showing.

“Daniel ‘Dan-E Phantom’ Smith has been making waves in the Adult Entertainment industry for the past 10 years. He has won Best Actor prior to tonight 3 other years, Male Performer of the Year for the 5 time in a row, and Director of the Year for the 3 time this year. Tonight, we celebrate all Daniel has done. And it is with happiness that I present to you, our 2023 AVN Hall of Famer, Daniel ‘Dan-E Phantom’ Smith!”

Everyone is seen giving Daniel a standing ovation as he makes his way up on stage to accept his award.

He smile and waves at the crowd, “ Thank you, thank you! I first want to thank my staff for making this possible. Without them, we would not be here at this moment. There was a time when things were falling apart and my team stuck by me as people I called friends and family walked away. So team, I thank and love y'all from the bottom of my heart. This next person, I didn’t think I would ever find, let along be able to have in my life. I’m so in love with this woman. She came into my life a few months ago and has never left my mind nor my heart ever since.”

He looks directly into the camera, “Lorelei, if your watching, I love you so much. It is the thought of waking up to your smile and seeing the love in your eyes that has inspired and pushed me to accomplish my goals.”

Looking back at the crowd, “As a result, I will be retiring from acting in scenes and will be completely focusing my time on building my production company and building my family. Thank you and have a good night.”

You could hear all the people in the room whispering. The host comes out to move the award ceremony forward in its program. I sit there in shock as I watch Daniel walk behind the curtain.

Holy hell!!!!

I hear my phone vibrate. I check my phone and see a text from my mother.

Ma: Did you see that. He claimed you in front of everyone. And did you see that little ho in the back? Her face, when he said you name was golden.

Me: Ma!!! I know you not watching the AVN Awards ?!

Ma: Baaabbbyy!!! Not only am I watching the AVN Awards, but I watched the movie that got him best actor and director of the year and I don’t know how you didn’t get pregnant the first time yall f****d. That man know how to d**k a girl down.

Me: Ma!!!!! Lol

Ma: Well… he good, but your daddy better. Lol

Me: I’m turning off my phone now. Good night.”

Ma: If he come for you tonight, use protection.

Ma: Wait… you already pregnant. Nvm.

Me: Smh Good night Ma!!!!

Ma: Stretch first.

I didn’t bother replying to my mothers madness.

This woman right here. What happened to my mother, Lord?

I put the ice cream away and make my way to bed.
