" You're looking at me like you don't want to see me"

Ivy quickly looked away before turning to reply

uhmm no...no that's not it, I was just surprised" she managed to say

"So am i "Seraphina said as she smiled

gosh she looks beautiful and less mean when she smiles normally, Ivy thought to herself

" I never would have guessed that you're a Rad student, that's cool"

"Well thank you, I didn't think you were the animal kind" Seraphina said

" Well, it is what it is" Ivy replied as the rep's voice pulled them out of the conversation

"guys I believe you all have chosen a leader and if you haven't do so now" the rep for the department of Vetmed said

"And choose your roles according to what the lecturer said", the rep for Radiography added.

Ivy wanted to know who was going to be the leader of their group

" I think Reynolds Peter from the Vet department should lead" a voice came

"No, I think Ryan Mary from the Rad department fits more", another voice countered.

After a series of little arguments, group H finally settled on Ryan Mary from the Rad department to be their leader, and then the girl started grouping the twelve students into different roles

"Raphael, Reynolds and Ray you're going to do the research" the leader said

............. " Richards, Richmond and Samuel you guys will edit and proofread the researches"

Ivy turned and met Seraphina’s eye, she smirked at her and Ivy had to force herself to look away

What was happening, why were these things happening, it didn't even seem like a coincidence anymore

She shook her head to remove the thoughts from her head, nothing was happening, she was just doing a project with a fellow student she reminded herself

The leader's voice came again "Now make sure that you all contribute share your opinions on the research, editing and final result which I will be in charge of with two other persons"

The leader continued addressing them, "Each role must all agree on their work before submitting to the next role, so it's important you guys exchange contacts, also you all should have my number for when you want to submit to me", she said as she called her number for all group H participants.

members who had the same role also started exchanging numbers, and Ivy just stood there feeling anxious. She felt a presence very close to her and turned, almost touching each other. Seraphina’s smile came again as she spoke

"I've always wanted to have your number, but you always seemed in a hurry", she handed Ivy her phone. She typed on it and handed the phone back to the girl

"Where's your phone? " Give me," Seraphina said, stretching out her hands.

For some reason, Ivy handed her the phone without question and watched as she typed in her number on her phone. Ivy watched her hands as they moved and quickly looked away.

Damn, she was screwed. She didn't want to have so much to do with Seraphina, or so she made herself believe. The girl has her back her phone.

"I'll chat you up"

Ivy's heart beat more times than it should have

"For the project of course", she added

her heart sank back again, w

gosh what was she thinking, why else would she chat her up, she hated this, she wished it would just stop

"You cool?" Seraphina questioned

"Sure sure, yeah I am"

"Okay, once the research mates send us their work, we'll have to meet to edit and proofread them all, before submitting to the leader"

"Sure, let's tell the other person too"

"Samuel Phoebe? She's in my department, I'll tell her"

"Okay then, I guess it's settled" Ivy said

Some students started leaving after doing the necessary things and Ivy followed suit but not before turning to Seraphina and uttering

"see ya"

"You too" she replied as she waved

Ivy got to her hostel and took a long bath, made a quick meal for herself and lay on her bed

Today was exhausting she thought

If only she could not be like these, she hoped she wouldn't have to meet Seraphina too much, there was something about her that made Ivy want to know her and she could guess it wasn’t that easy knowing her, heck she didn't want to know anyone who made her think of them when they're not in her presence.

Her roommate spoke

"girl you look exhausted"

"Beatrice I don't just look exhausted, I am exhausted"

"What happened?" Beatrice inquired

"girl the joint class I told you about earlier was today, a lot happened and I'm tired"

" I can see that you also look distracted, girl don't allow much to trouble you"

"I will try to take your advice", Ivy said as a face flashed through her head.

She and her roommate both turned to their respective sides. Ivy wondered if what those girls said the other day about Seraphina getting in trouble was true, but she shook her head to shake the thoughts out of it and decided to go to bed early today but not before seeing that face and grin and lovely smile again

gosh she didn't like this.
