A white envelope is positioned in front of me on the white marble table, I'm leaning back against the back of the chair as I sip on champagne in a wine glass. I arrived home five minutes ago and changed in a white bikini set with a white see through robe.
What is in this envelope? Is it even important? I thought to myself while getting up as I heard the doorbell ring.
My guest have arrived.
"Sunflower, your guests are here." Cleo said standing in the living room doorway. I walked up to him, he wrapped his hand around my waist.
I'm definitely going to get some stares. I moved Cleo hands as I walked and opened the front door. Trey was the first person inside that hugged me.
"Trey, so good to see you." I said smiling while pulling away from him.
"Yes, it is." Trey said brushing off his clothes and his gaze roamed my body, he let out a whistle.
Fernando walked inside with two suitcases in his hands. Thèodore and Vanessa followed right after their bags in their hands. Thèodore stared at me and then his gaze switched to Cleo.
"Ophelia." Thèodore said setting his bags down.
"Thèodore." I replied staring at him.
"I'm Cleo, Ophelia's boyfriend. Nice to meet all of you yet I don't know who any of you are." Cleo said smiling while grabbing my waist pulling me into him.
Fernando gaze went to the ceiling as he whistled.
"I'm Trey, I've been her friend since school years." Trey replied extending his hand.
Cleo shook his hand and Cleo gaze went to Fernando.
"I'm Fernando, it's an honor to meet Ophelia's boyfriend. The lucky man that got her locked in." Fernando said nodding once.
"I am lucky to have this little sunflower." Cleo said while sliding his hand underneath my robe.
This dude has no self control.
"I'm Thèodore, yet I didn't know Ophelia had a boyfriend. I guess she left that detail out." Thèodore said while smirking.
"Well I guess she did." Cleo replied staring at Thèodore.
"Uh, Vanessa was the plane ride good? I know you're pregnant and all." I asked tilting my head to stare at her.
"Yes, it was good and your house is way bigger than the manor. It's gorgeous." Vanessa replied smiling.
Alyssa came running downstairs.
"Who's these people? I know that blonde man but the rest of them no." Alyssa asked while tilting her head.
"These are your aunty's friends their staying the weekend." Cleo said looking at Alyssa.
"Okay. Uncle Cleo can you help me set up my dollhouse it has to set up out of the box?" Alyssa asked with a puppy dog sad face.
"Sure, I'm coming let's go." Cleo said kissing on top of my forehead and marching upstairs with Alyssa.
"So, that's a surprise, how long have you been dating him?" Trey asked smirking.
I rolled my eyes and fixed my robe.
"I think a year and a half and it isn't a surprise. I could settle down too." I replied smiling.
"He seems perfect for you." Thèodore said while picking up his bags.
"He is. The guest rooms are on the third floor east wing. You can ask the maids for a map of the house if you want to look around. Just don't get lost, because I'm not finding you." I replied while walking upstairs.
"So she's dating someone actually." Trey said nudging Fernando in his arm.
"Trey leave it." Fernando said sighing.
Thèodore walked away to the guest headquarters, Vanessa followed after him.
A couple of moments later in Alyssa's bedroom.
I stood in the doorway leaning against the frame with my arms crossed over my chest. She looked so happy, and free. I don't want to take that away from her.
"Uncle that's not where you put it! I want it next to my bookshelf." Alyssa said crossing her arms and staring at Cleo.
Cleo was assembling the dollhouse and listening to Alyssa pout about everything.
"I'm going to move it okay, I just assembling it first. Why does this house come with so many dang things."Cleo replied sliding his hand down his face.
Alyssa rolled her eyes and she walked to the edge of her bed to sit down. Her gaze then went to me.
"Because it's a dollhouse and it's realistic and expensive. That's why I'm going to brag to every girl in my class." Alyssa replied, switching her gaze to Cleo.
"Of course you are." Cleo muttered his tone a hint of tiredness, while he got up off of the ground.
"Alyssa, give your uncle a break he's been doing a lot." I said smiling while walking up to Cleo.
"Yeah, whatever. For dinner I want sushi, in memory of daddy." Alyssa replied her tone had a pinch of attuide in it.
Cleo grabbed me by my waist pulling me against and kissed me hard.
"You taste so good. Alyssa go outside it's nice and sunny." Cleo muttered against my lips while pushing me against a wall.
"Ew, don't have s*x on my bed. The maids just made it up." Alyssa replied while storming out the room, not bothering to close the door.
I chuckled against Cleo's lips and pulled away from him and looked in his eyes.
"We're having steak and mashed potatoes for dinner with a side of greens. Alyssa can have sushi the chef won't mind doing both." I said sliding my hand underneath his shirt.
"Yeah, alright. Now tell me who's the guy that was checking you out." Cleo replied tangling his fingers in my hair.
"Trey is a flirt, he's harmless and plus he's a friend." I said while playing with the band of his pants.
"No not him,the guy that clearly was checking you out." Cleo replied pulling my hand away.
My face turned serious. Was he meaning Thèodore, this is going to be long.
"There was nobody checking me out,Cleo." I said looking up at him to stare in his eyes.
"Sure, but let me tell you something if I find out Thèodore was the one that marked you.. I'll make sure he would be extinct like the dinosaurs and y'all would have to look for parts of his body over this earth. And if I find out you're messing around with him, I'll do much worse." Cleo whispered in my ear his voice deep and cold but so calm, that scares me, his voice left goosebumps all over my skin.
Cleo is the type of man I need, the one that knows every twisted part of me and still he's way worse than me.
"Thèodore wasn't checking me out. He has a fiancée." I replied while walking away. He grabbed my wrist.
"Ophelia , don't walk away from me. I'm being patient with you, let me talk or Alyssa's bed is going to get messy." Cleo said his voice empty and calm.
I didn't answer but pulled away from Cleo and walked away from him. He ran and grabbed my waist and laid me out on Alyssa's bed.
"Such a naughty girl, just waiting to be punished. Hell was made for you Ophelia." Cleo said walking away from me and stopping at the door.
"For both of us." I muttered low.
Cleo walked out of the room and walked to the kitchen.
What did I do now.... I thought to myself.
A few hours later.
I was sitting down on the stool in front of my vanity applying concealer to my face. Cleo was in the shower, the smoke from the shower was filling the bathroom.
"Cleo turn down the temperature!" I yelled out while setting down my blending brush.
I heard the shower shut off and then the bathroom door opened. Cleo walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist and one wrapped around his head, his hands was drying his hair with the towel. The sight was definitely a gift.
"What you yelling about,Sunflower?" Cleo asked arching his eyebrow and chuckling.
"You were fogging the room with the hot shower you were having." I said turning around to look at him.
"Was that destroying the make-up your putting on." Cleo teased while walking infront of me and running Hii finger down the side of my face. "Though it is going to get ruined regardless." Cleo whispered in my ear.
Why was I having so many sensations right now. The lower part of my body was on fire.
"Stop teasing, I can't get horny right now. I'm going out in less than a hour." I replied looking up at him.
"Where are you going? You didn't tell me anything about going out." Cleo said while staring at me. His gaze turned serious, no playful expression was in his gaze.
"With my friends, we're skipping dinner tonight." I replied getting up off of my stool.
"You didn't thought to mention this before." Cleo rolled his eyes and walked to his side of the closet.
What's his problem. Yet I still could see that he was irritated. All of his back muscles were visible.
"I'm mentioning it now.." I said walking to my side of the closet.
"That's not the point. You don't mention anything to me. I'm your boyfriend and not your assistant. Ophelia Im getting really tired of your nonsense." Cleo replied putting on a white pants it was from lorie piana and beige shoes from there to.
"You don't think, I don't know that. And if you're tired of me, you can leave. I don't need you here and I don't need you." I said my voice cold and clear.
Cleo threw on a white hoodie and stormed out the room slamming the door. I blinked at the slam and then exhaled.
Well he left.
Yet, I didn't want him to.
But, I just always seem to make the people who care about me go away.
I'm such a curse.
I blame my mother.
Yeah I need a drink.
I slipped on my white heels and walked downstairs bumping into Thèodore.
"Careful, wouldn't want to fall." Thèodore said holding my waist smirking.
"Yeah wouldn't want to do that." I replied rolling my eyes.
"Your boyfriend left in a rush. Is it relationship drama?" Thèodore asked staring at me.
"Thèodore stay out of it." I said coldly.
"How can I, when you did the same thing I did. So you didn't think it was important to tell me you had a boyfriend." Thèodore tilted his head.
"You have a fiancée, I have a boyfriend that's two different things to compare. A boyfriend isn't as special as a fiancée because I'm not getting married." I replied pushing away from Thèodore.
"It's still important." Thèodore said shrugging.
"Okay let's take Whiskey and Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude Brut Rosé for example, whiskey is for poor people and Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude Brut Rosé is for rich people. Whiskey is more important because more people can afford it. And Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude Brut Rosé is less important because less people can have it. So we take your fiancée as whiskey and my boyfriend as Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude Brut Rosé." I replied while walking to the kitchen.
"I like whiskey." Thèodore said while walking behind me.

(Meanwhile Cleo's pov)
The brick wall of the alley way, is the only comfortable place of the ghetto part of Illinois. I lean back against the wall, a cigarette at the corner of my mouth and my hoodie is zipped down but my hood is up hiding the back of my hair.
I've been standing in this alley way for ten minutes now waiting on a client. Drug runs have never been easy, sometimes the clients don't even show. The alley is dark, you never could tell if someone's approaching. It's only illuminated by one broken street light that flutters and glitches.
The piercing sound of gun shots rang from the background. I don't flinch nor move I just stand still and smoke my cigarette. Yet, I could hear the screaming and the crying babies. What type of parents raise their kids in this area. My parents. Yet, they moved as quickly as they could,. Money was tight and Illinois is an expensive place. I saw from the corner of my eye someone was approaching.
"You're late.. Next time I'm leaving if you don't show on time." I said taking a small brown paper bag out of my hoodie pocket.
"I'm a loyal client. No need to cut me off." The person replied his voice deep, it was a man. It didn't surprise me yet I never heard this man's voice before. He walked in-front of me.
"Name?" I asked arching my eyebrow.
"Shadow." He said, putting his hoodie down.
He was a cop, I knew his face. He's the one who questioned sunflower. I knew because I read up on her arrest on their database. That I happened to hack into.
"Shadow you must be a new client. Because I've never seen you a day in my life." I replied.
"I am, but let's not waste time where's your boss I was hoping she would give me the bag." Shadow said smirking.
"She doesn't deliver orders, she controls them. But she trusts me to deal with the delivery." I said staring at him.
"Ah I see. How much." Shadow replied pulling out his wallet.
"Three grand." I replied taking the cigarette out of my mouth and smashing it on the ground.
The dude stared at me then opened his wallet.
"Three grand is expensive for drugs. Is it made of gold." Shadow said chuckling while handing me the money.
I counted it.
It was clean.
It was perfect.
What's the saying again? No big money comes clean, well I think they lied. I handed him the brown paper bag.
"It was made by gold. The finest." I replied smirking.
"I'll love to meet that gold someday." Shadow said walking away and pulling up his hood.
"You may have to burn in hell to do that." I muttered out while zipping up my hoodie.
I walked out of the alley taking out my car key to unlock my car until, someone ran up to me.
"Cleo you got any extra packs, I need something quick. I'm going through something." A young man said. He looked poor his clothes were dirty and his hoodie was ripped.
"Yeah, but it's 10 grand. Top shelf." I said chuckling. That's when I heard a gun click behind me. Then someone came in front of me his face was covered with a mask. He had a gun positioned at my forehead.
In this moment, I hadn't even thought of my life. I thought about her, I left without telling her I love you and I care about you. I left mad at her for always shutting me out. For being herself, the side of her I knew how to handle. Death wasn't a fear, I had. But in this moment I knew death wasn't an option.
"Empty your pockets, we want all the money and drugs." The man with the mask yelled his voice rushed.
I pulled out the money in my pockets and the drugs, I pulled out my gun fast aiming it at the guy with mask chest and then I shot him. A bullet sound rang through the air, it wasn't just one it was two. One grazed my arm, which hurt like hell and one came from me.
I turned around to the best of my ability and started to fire gun shots, as the guy ran away. The guy behind me was already bleeding out and his eyes closed. I quickly opened my car door and sped off. I'll deal with that dude later.

(Meanwhile Ophelia's Pov)
Sixteen shots, two margaritas and four cocktails. I've been getting drunk with Thèodore at the mini bar for an hour now. My head is all over the place. But I have one thought on my mind and I need blood. All my feelings are exploding.
"I'm going to use the bathroom." I said while getting off of the bar stool and walking to the grand entrance.
The door slammed just as I walked upstairs, I paused at the middle of the stairs. Then turned my head to see.
Cleo.
He was hurt.
He was bloody.
His hair was messy and his eyes were red.
What happened?
Was this my fault?
Of course it's my fault, I told him to leave.
My eyes felt swelled and a tear rolled down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away and walked down the stairs.
"What happened, Why are you hurt?" I asked frantically staring up at him. I should be calm, I kept telling my self that.
Cleo grabbed me pulling my head into his chest and his chin rested on my back.
"I'm fine. It's not my blood, well some is but that's not the point. I'm not gone." Cleo said running his fingers through my hair.
"Cleo, who did this and where were you?"I asked not bothering to move.
"I was doing drug runs, and I almost got robbed and killed. So I killed like I always do when I go in the ghetto for runs." Cleo replied.
"Did you let them get away.." I said moving my head to stare up at him.
"Yes, I let one get away." Cleo replied.
"ONE.Cleo you can't just walk away from a murder scene with an eyewitness." I muttered my voice filled with rage. I grabbed my Cleo's keys from his pocket and his gun. I walked outside slamming the door.
"Ophelia you have on white!!" Cleo said sliding a hand down my face. But he was too late I was already driving out of the driveway.
This is what I need right now, I sped through the streets of Illinois and the beauty of Illinois when it's night is amazing. My phone went off about thirty times already probably Cleo. Then I saw it's a call from my grandmother, I reached over and answered the phone not taking my eyes off of the road. I'd put my phone on the elbow rest and turning it on speaker.
"Ophelia darling, I'm so sorry but I just got the call that your father is dead." Grandma mumbled sobbing.
Yes, he is.
"May his soul rest." I said stepping on the gas harder.
"His funeral is January 1st at eleven am. Your mother, Daniel and me are traveling there tomorrow. Since it's only in two days." Grandma sobbed.
"December 31st is tomorrow, and you guys are telling me I have one day to buy dress and heels for my father's funeral. Great." I hung up and parked in the alley way of the ghetto.
I got up out of the car and grabbed the white knife in the glove compartment box. The ghetto is dangerous that's what everyone tells me. But has it met it's match. I looked around then searched the alley way.
"You can't be here private property it's not for rich chicks." A man said while stepping up to me and yelling.
"It's looks public to me, and back up." I replied looking the man up and down.
"I said it's private property", the man said almost punching me in my nose, but I shot him in his knuckles before he got the chance.
"I've been craving a kill." I said chuckling.
"Such a pathetic girl. A demon." The man said, I quickly shut him by stopping my heel down in his mouth and shooting his neck.
"I'm neither. I'm just simply a person that has her own creative ways of torture." I said while shooting his body up. He wasn't breathing but I don't care I was thirsty and craving this kill. I heard a rattle sound behind me, I turned around. A man was creeping up on me.
"I said women like you are things America should fear. And I wasn't wrong." The person said his silhouette, moving closer. But I knew his voice and that line. Such a dirty cop.
"Police shouldn't be in these areas or their heads will end up on a platter or a garbage." I said loading my gun.
"You remember me, I see." He said, the corner of his mouth smirked.
"Wipe the smug look off of your face." I replied, walking closer to him.
He walked up to me, his steps weren't fast, they were calm and steady. Then that's when I saw him, the black haired cop.
"Shadow." He said extending a hand.
"You already know mine, and why is a cop going by the name of shadow and suddenly appearing in alley ways." I replied smiling while rubbing the tip of my gun over my lips, the blood from the gun spread over my lips.
"Did you just rub the gun you killed someone with just now over your lips?" Shadow asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Yes I did." I replied arching my eyebrow.
"Oh you're psychotic." Shadow muttered out, his voice low.
How dare he call me a psychopath. I'm simply just unique and creative.
"I'm creative." I replied rolling my eyes.
"No you're the type of crazy, that's mental asylum crazy. No prison could deal with you." Shadow said staring at the dead body behind me and then back at me.
"Watch your mouth, I kill cops too." I replied coldly.
"Of course you do.." Shadow mumbled.
I fired a shot at the person behind shadow. The person was aiming for me, these men are such d***s.
"What the hell, did you just kill someone." Shadow said turning around.
"I'd hope so," I walked up to the person's body that was lying on the floor. Screams of agony was coming from them. Oh,my ears are dying.
"I'm sorry I didn't- mean to shoot. I have a child, and I was paid to do it for extra money. The woman said on the floor sobbing
These are seriously the gangsters of Illinois. Such a joke.
"Who hired you, but don't think I won't let you bleed to death. Because I'll make sure you choke on your own blood then cough it up while having a bullet in your throat. You better stay alive because I promise you I will regenerate your body and torture you even more." I replied.
Shadow whistled behind me.
"I don't know his name!!" She sobbed.
I shot her in the leg. She screamed all the birds flew away.
"Figure it out, how does he look like." I said while I stomped on the part of the leg the bullet went.
"AHHH, OH HELL. His face was covered, I don't think anything else." She screamed.
I shot a bullet in her next leg making sure not to hit anything important.
"Where did you meet him and how did you know how to find me. You're going to soon burn in flames but after you endure my creativity. NOW TALK, BASTARD." I replied while kick her in her leg.
"Ow, I met him this same place. He said you would be here making deliveries but first it was a man and so he robbed the man and shot him. But I didn't do anything." She sobbed while reaching for her leg.
He shot Cleo. No I'm not having remorse. I shot her in both of her arms.
"I don't want hear a sound or I will shoot you again and it won't be nice." I said
Her cries became muffled.
"Mental asylum crazy." Shadow muttered under his breath.
I can't breathe, it's my fault Cleo got shot. I started firing shots in the air.
"Shut up, woman I could hear you breathing." I replied shooting her in her neck." Now swallow the blood and cough up, Now!" I shouted.
"I'm an eye witness to a murder actually no. I don't even know what too call this, scene. But this type thing gets you the electric chair." Shadow said while pulling a cigarette from his pocket.
The woman coughed up the blood, while she coughed it up I shot her more and more times in her head. My hands started to shake around the gun handle but my aim was steady. Blood was splattered all over my clothes.
"You ruined my favorite robe!" I laughed while kicking her body to roll up.
Shadow was breathless in the back of me, while he smoked his cigarette. No words were forming.
"Can I get a hit of that?" I asked handing out my hand, he passed it to me and I took serval hits. Cigarettes taste bad but in the moment it felt good.
"Where you going to hide the bodies?" Shadow asked curious.
"Nowhere, let the police find them. Maybe you can even give them a hint." I said rolling my eyes and smiling sarcastically.
"I'm going now, shadow stay safe or not. Who cares." I said walking to my car.
"Ophelia, there's dangerous people watching you. Sometimes it's the ones you trust, is the ones that hurts you the most." Shadow said raw no laughter no sarcasm just real words and he walked away.
Dangerous people.
Hurting me.
Don't they know?
I'm unhinged and violent.
If anyone steps near me and try to hurt me. That will be the last step they take and the last breath they breathe.
I'll kill men and women. I'm Ophelia Duval and I am a killer and pretty good one. I'm a lawyer, a billionaire and an aunt, I'm good at those things too. Did I mention I'm hot.
I sped off in my car the night lights of the streets, bright yellow and white was flashing as I sped by. It was just another day in Illinois.
May Anna have a great time in jail. That's where she'll rot.
————————-
(Meanwhile Anna's Pov)
I'm sitting on a metal bench behind gray dirty bars, for my husband's murder. I didn't even kill him. I should have poisoned him but I didn't. He left me nothing, all I did for that man and all he cares about his daughter.
He's gone now and I'm serving thirty years for murder. Well great, I'll be old and my daughter will be grown. That little brat.
The cell door opens and a man that looks like a woman came in and punched me.
"Blondie stop daydreaming. It's time for my dinner I'm hungry." He said, his voice deep and grump he sounded fifty eight.
"Oh no." I screamed.
